Default How many stamps does she have left?

I was tutoring a reading student today and he had to read the following problem: Sandra had 24 stamps. She used 10 of them. How many does she have left?

*snort* Thousands! Of course! I didn't say that out loud as my student surely would have been confused, but that's what I was thinking!

I was thinking this is a trick question. She still has 24. Just because she uses them doesn't mean she has any less or any more stamps.:-D

LOL! Good one! Can you sub my name in for Sandra's?

Here is another math problem:

Pam has 2500 stamps. She uses 15 of them. How many more should she go out and buy to use 15 more of them?

I have to add that she has 24 stamps, but now she wants a cuttlebug, cardstock, designer paper, copics, prisma colored pencils, nestabilities .................!!!

Default Trick question

No fair - trick question. Since this is a stamping group we of course think you mean stamps, but I suspect the question is intended to ask about postage stamps. If you had 24 and used 10 you would only have 14 left. It must be postage stamps because who could survive with only 24 "rubber" stamps.

Thanks for the chuckle!
