how many of you ladies open SCS and dont close it down until bedtime? and just hit refresh. I open this site up at 200am when i get up cause i dont sleep and dont shut down til 9:00 at night when i go to bed i am just curious to see the polls.
I'm the first to post a vote!!?!?! wow! i leave it up all day, and i work all night so i have it open at work too (it's torture looking at all the great pics and being stuck at work, unable to run to my stamp room!)
Mine is set to automatically open as soon as I turn on my computer and I don't log out until I turn off the computer. So from the time I get home from work and turn it on to the time I drag myself away from the computer to go to bed it's sitting there tempting me.
ditto that. but so much cheaper than staring at ebay. which is my home page. i used to tell my dh look what i won. he would always say no look at what you just bought! silly man
I open and close it all day but only because I have to share the computer with my hubby. But I may as well leave it open since I'm on it so much. I swear I stalk more than I stamp sometimes! : )
I am open and closer too. I think "Ok, I'll get something done and close it" The I open it again. My computer is upstairs, so my I say to my Mom "I have to go get something" or "I will be right back" and she says "See you in an hour". I think she's on to me... but with it a being up stairs, at least I am getting exersize, right???

Well with two little ones at home to share the computer with I open and close it as needed. Open more often than closed though. I realized that I should probably let them play their stuff on here too.

I open and close as needed. I wonder if keeping it open all day when you aren't actually viewing is slowing the system down. So I just close when finished and have an icon on the home page for fast check in or get on through email update.

Can anyone answer that big blue sentence?
Guiloty as charged - but I also wonder. Anyone with an answer?
actually I switch back and forth with my email all day...but SCS stays on my favorites and I just click on that and then go back to email...is that keeping it open all day????? I'd hate to be "clogging" up the system!!!
I was just talking to my mom last night about the fact that I am no longer "driven" to buy the Take Ten magazines anymore since I can browse the galleries here for sets that I actually own.
I don't necessarily have the site open all day, but I do check it often.

NO! The only way it would use up bandwidth, and slow the system down, is if the page that is open is set to "auto-reload". I don't believe that SCS has any pages that auto-reload.
So for those of us who keep it open all day long, you don't have to worry.
I open it and keep it open all day too! Phone line? What phone line LOL I'd rather be on here than get phone calls any day!

laura's reply was correct, there's no burden on the system to just leave your browser window open. thanks for asking :^)
Daven - Thank you for the answer and thanks for taking the time to do so!
And Laura, thanks to you too! But Laura, if your daughter is in school don't tie up the phone line...LOL! She might get sick and need her mommy!
I'm another one that keeps it open all day just makes me feel good knowing SCS is always there when I need a break or my procrastination is in high gear or when there's laundry to do or there's dishes in the sink that need to be done..........well you get the picture, I'm on SCS and the house is a mess.
I keep my laptop on all day, but I don't keep SCS on if I'm not going to be posting, gallery gazing, or reading, then I put my Firefox on something else so that I'm not considered 'on'.
*raises hand* Guilty as charged.
I tried to have SCS has my homepage, but DH said that was a bit too obsessive  I don't know what he means by that!
I'm on and off continuously throughout the day so I usually leave it open.
oh and want to hear something sad i just went out today and bought a lap top for in my craft room so that i can sit in there and not have to go back and forth to my office in the house and now hubby really has to get his desk and book case out of my craft room so that i can set up another table with more stuff and new puter

Hee hee... i bought a laptop for this too- even tho i told DH it was for "school"!
I leave mine on all day at the office. On one tab, I have the gallery running on slideshow, then on another tab I have my office program open for work.
When I have tenants or applicants come in, I can just click the SCS tab and all they can see are the inspirations of you guys. That way, no sensitive information can be seen by unauthorized individuals. Who knew SCS could help protect personal information of others? LOL:rolleyes:
I still am not anywhere close to seeing EVERY gallery item. (my personal goal)
