Default this is how GOOD crystal effects is

tuesday night our girl scout troop made key chains using the laminate samples from the hardware store.....they stamped on them with staz-on & the "totally cool" stamp set & glued 2 together with crystal effects then added a ring. well, my daughter put hers in her shorts pocket & today when i did the laundry, i forgot to check the pockets (i ALWAYs forget!!! DH hates that!!!) anyhow, the keychain went through the entire wash cycle (with 2 rinses!!) & didn't come apart!!!!!!! now THAT's some GOOD GLUE!!!!!!!!

too bad my DH didn't have that kind of keychain when he went in to the hot tubs with his car keys in his pocket! Instead, he had the door clickey thing and it got ruined. That was the second one he messed up (can't remember what happened to the 1st) so now we actually have to use the key to unlock the door! Can you imagine?!

I have 2 statements:

Pam, make the hubby cough up the $$ for the clicker!!! if he has messed up 2 he needs to pay!!!! I know those aren't cheap but what if his dear wife locks her keys in the car and is stranded...? I know 'cause i did this exact thing!!!!

Dorothy, do you have a scan of the laminate keychains? I have some of these chips that i felt very guilty taking from the sample section (it's not stealing but it does feel weird) and would like to see what you all did with them. Thanks in advance if you are able to show. jg

My clicker is usually on my key chain so if the keys are in there, I'm in trouble.

Did you know that if you leave your car running & take the clicker with you & you lock the doors you can't get in your car? Imagine stopping at the police dept to drop off your multiple pet permit info in the summer with your dog & cat in the car. Leave it running with the air on for them. Lock the doors. Turn in your paperwork. Return to the car only to find out the clicker doesn't work when it's running. Go back inside to request officer assistance. Get assistance quickly because animals are in the car and the officer doesn't want them to die. Only one of the more bright things I've done.

Baronsmom,

You have to have a permit to have more than one animal? Where do you live?

Pam,
How do you use keys to unlock doors? I sometimes forget how to use the door handles, never mind unlock them! And we always come in through the garage.
Keys - how quaint!

Here's something you would never think could happen:

One of our local sherrif deputies locked his police dog in the car with it running and the AC on. He went in to file a report. Somehow the AC malfunctioned and stopped working. He lost the dog.

Now, never in a million years would you think that could happen!

Just a heads up for pet owners.

Oh Nan - I remember that! How sad! And in NY, we didn't get a 90* day that day - it wasn't that warm -

I have also heard that some cars will not allow you to use the "clicky thing" if the car is running. It always helps to have a 7 year old who can undo her seatbelt in case you get locked out!
