Default How to Get Restarted?!

Well, after having the baby (who's 19 months old now!) and buying a house, moving, starting a great new job...it's been an hectic couple years!

So here we are settled in our new house and i am setting up my craft room to get back into the game after not doing any serious papercrafting in almost a year and a half...

So, what should i do to get restarted!!?? What have i missed?! I feel so out of touch! :p

Welcome back! I would pick a stamp set that you like and then look in the gallery for some inspiration...then make a card. Maybe cruise through the forums to see what's new...there's a thread about trends that you might find interesting. The main thing is to have fun crafting again!

I agree...have fun with it! Get out your supplies and see if you need anything "new" to inspire you...maybe a new stamp set maybe some new paper. If you need something new....do a little shopping and then create. The gallery is a great place to find some inspirations...and read the posts about trends and what is hot right now, if that matters to you (and it doesn't have to!!!). CREATE!! Just sit down and enjoy!!!

I sometimes take breaks from paper crafting when life gets in the way. When the urge strikes, I usually buy something new to inspire me. I am a paper freak,so that's what I get. Then I go back to my creative blogs and the SCS galleries to get the juice flowing and eventually sit down and make something. My first attempts are mostly horrible, but eventually I find my groove and start crafting like crazy!

Here's to you regaining your Mojo!

Thanks, Ladies...the room is almost finished...complete with a pile of toys and a bucket of clothespins to keep a certain 20 month old happy while Mommy makes something. She's so curious...can't wait to give her some scrap paper and crayons to get her artistic groove going too! I'll be sure to post pics of my first creation, no matter how out-of-practice-horrible it is! LOL.

Just have fun...Take out what you have on hand and enjoy it. The galleries are a great source of inspiration. Soon, you will be creating with your little one.

Welcome back! Maybe check out a challenge here on SCS or in blogland. Tomorrow is the featured stamper challenge, that used to be one of my favorites when I still had time for more challenges.
