Question How does Score Tape handle high humidity?

I'm about to go on vacation to P.R. to visit Mom. This is when I usually restock her craft room. You should see the size of that suitcase ;). Anyway, my Mom has a constant issue with adhesives. It is sooooo humid there most of the time that any adhesive (except liquid glue which causes buckling) she used would inevitably unstick. Her cards would fall apart after a day or so. We tried all types of adhesives (except scoretape ;) ) and finally found a double sided tape that would not come off, in a dollar store, go figure. I got her loads of it. Unfortunately she has finally run out and I can't find that tape anywhere anymore. I really can't remember why I never tried scoretape but I did buy one a few months ago and love it. I want to stock my Mom up, but it's not exactly cheap so I don't want to waste the money if it can't handle the really high humid conditions she has. If it can, I already have it in my favorite stores shopping cart just waiting for a go ahead. Would appreciate any input.
Thanks
Debbie

P.S. I am sooo in love with the envelope maker from We-R-Memory Keepers. We've had to store her envelopes in a box with silica packs so they would not stick so much and even that does not work so well. Now she can just make them as she needs them and use a little tombow to seal them or the scoretape depending on your feedback.

I don't know about the Scor-Tape but I have used Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue to attach patterned paper to my card and it didn't buckle. It also holds bows and embellishments. I usually secure these with a glue dot in the centre just to keep them in place then put a little dot of Tombow under each side. Holds really firmly when dry.

I live in Florida, which has pretty high humidity much of the time, and I haven't had any problem with Scor-tape.

I also live in Southern Florida - where books mildew and fall apart and hair is eternally frizzy.

I use Scor-Tape, Tombow Mono Multi and an ATG gun to handle all my glueing. I've had no problems with any of them But I know what you're saying about envelopes sticking. I have that happen. Some I can carefully pull open and use, and some I have to toss. I hadn't thought of silica packs - good idea!

I liked score tape for holding but hated using it. Peeling off that layer was difficult for me so I opted for ATG acid free tape and combine it with Art Institute glue. With our crazy Ohio climate, nothing fell off, not even a year or more later. I did scrapbooking too and again, success with things holding on. I thought Scor Tape was a bit high priced too for every day use.

Thank you ladies for the response. I will go ahead and give the Scortape a try. Change in plans, my mom is now coming here for a few weeks and I will go to PR later. I'm taking her to the HeirloomPro convention in PA. Yay. She's gonna have a ball. So hopefully I'll be able to pick the scortape while we are there. Ooh, so excited.

I think I broke my ATG gun, that thing has a learning curve and I'm way outta the lane.
