You are all cracking me up.
For the person who asked about the dauber top, I say an empty dauber top plastic bottle at Michaels in the paint section. That is what I plan to pour my Gamsol into. HTH--Tracy

Just thought I'd let y'all know that I tried this technique with our metallic pencils and it's wonderful! The metallics are so soft and blend beautifully. They do lose their "metallic" qualities, though.

OMG! Ya'll are just TOO funny! Thank goodness I wasn't eating or drinking, it would be a mess here.

Anyway, do you think that someplace would ship Gamosal? I mean, is it considered a dangerous substance to mail? I'm here in Germany and wouldn't have a clue what the stuff is called in Deutche.

Okay girls, someone quite snorting and spewwing long enough to answer my question. . . . .

please :P

Well, I just checked out their website and yes they ship to APO addresses, but not if the item is considered hazardous or anything like that. They label the gamsol ORM-D, thus I can not get it shipped to me.

I guess I'll go track down Beate and see if she can translate for me.

Okay gals, don't let this get you down! Spew On Dudettes!

Gamsol is just a brand name it is Odorless Mineral Spirits - which a thinner for oil painting so if you go to an art store in Germany you may be able to find it. (our at store had three brands to choose from but all were the same product). HTH's

My husband has some. He said he got it from a hardware store - like Lowes / Home Depot.

Be careful as that kind will probably not be ODORLESS and you will have to wear a mask if you're going to blend with it...you'll be to close to the fumes.

Actually, he did say it's odorless - so I figured that's a plus!
