Default How do u store unmounted?

Just wondering what you all do to store your unmounted stamps. I have tried Ailene's Tack It Over and Over on the back of the stamps and then stored in CD cases. But I find that over time the stickiness seems to not be so sticky. I have resisted buying the EZ Mount because of the cost involved in putting this on all my unmounted stamps.

Also I don't know if I want to continue with CD cases for storage.

What do you do with your?

I purchased "Tack n Peel" at Joanns and it seems to work wonderful.....you just cut and apply it to your acrylix block (should stick to em for a LONG time) then just put your stamps on it...

oh and about storing em... I store mine in the package they come in inside a shoebox

The ezmount isn't nearly as expensive as you may think. I have used 4 sheets of the ezmount so far, and have mounted 23 sets with that! It really does go a long way. I've heard some say they use the regular ezmount for unmounting their old stamps and the thin ezmount to the newer stamps, but I'm going to keep doing the regular, and taking the rubber right off of the foam straight away. The regular ezmount is MUCH easier to cut through than the thin.

I too have been using Ez-mount foam on all of my unmounted Rubber stamps.

And I have for about 5 years now. I love it!

Of course most of the places I purchase unmounted Rubber stamps that foam comes with the stamps.

There is a place that sells Ez-mount foam for about $2.95 a sheet.

It's called Beeswax. And I know they ship internationally.

Here is the link: http://www.beeswaxrubberstamps.com/accessories.htm

As far as storage. I still use the CD's to store mine in. and have for along time.

If your Ezmount foam becomes less clingy, Just rinse it with warm water and let air dry.

Over time your stamps will pick up lent, pet hair, dust.

Hmmm....those prices don't seem too bad. I might try the stuff from Joanne's to use for bigger stamps but may order some EZ mount for my smaller stamps.

I'm glad I asked you all this question...I knew you would have some suggestions for me. Thx.

I'm just starting to unmount my stamps. I'm planning on using the Aleene's to start with.

As far as storage my plan is:

I'm going to stamp the images on a piece of 5 x 7 cardstock which I will laminate with my Xyron. Then store the unmounted stamps on the other side.
I bought a rubber maid container that is the perfect size. I'm going to make larger tabbed dividers for the different categories.

I'm also considering ordering Art Storge bags to keep the laminated sheets in. (http://www.archivalusa.com/tpb57.html)

The Aleene's is on order but once I get things going I'll post a picture.

I'm just so excited about getting that space back!
