Default Hotwheels Cases for Storing Refills

I thought I saw on SCS that some people use Hotwheels carrying cases for their bottles of refills (each case has, conveniently enough, 48 partitioned spaces). I've found them online for about 7.99, but so far they have a decorated front instead of the clear one I remember. Does anyone know where we can find clear cases?

I bought mine in the toy isle at Walmart about this time last year for $4.88! They were the clear plastic cases. I haven't checked to see if they have them this year or not. After Christmas last year they had them on clearance for $2, so I am not sure my Walmart will carry them again. Good luck!

I've boughten the clear ones at Target that hold Matchbox cars. Can't say I ever thought about it for anything else LOL. It was under $5.00 - Maybe I will borrow one from my son he has quite a few of them filled LOL

I have three boys so we have lots of Hot Wheels, and I have bought the clear type holders at Wal Mart. Where I live that is the only place I have found those particular kind. I never thought of using them for refills, good idea thanks for sharing that. Also the type I have opens on both sides.

I have not been able to find them this year.

I would also like to give some caution to those that use them. Store them flat and do not stand on ends or sides. A friend did this and the ink leaked and ran together. It was a huge mess.

Wow, I bought lots of those. The boys never have the cars in them so they sit empty. I guess I will slip downstairs and "borrow" them. Thanks for the tip!

I'm realizing that loving this site is becoming a problem...I am not only in the search for my stamps and accessories, now I'm in the search for matchbox cases, cassette cases, etc, etc, etc. I'm beginning to think a pyschiatrist is cheaper!

I found clear car storage boxes today at Big Lots. They were under $5. They held 48 cars.
