Hold the baby bunnies
Is there a line of rubber stamps out there for the "non-sentimental" card maker? I love the Stamp Francisco stamps, and Fred Mullett's fish. My cards are not from the "soft and fuzzy" school. I generally don't do baby animals, children, owls, wolves, or big cheerful bouquets of flowers. And please, no glitter. I love botanicals, but am intimidated by the fragile little die-cut vines and leaves. (How do you glue 'em onto the paper?!) I haven't embraced the "distressed" look, either. I agree, vivalasvegastamps has a very unusual stamp lines!!! Check out their ADULT line for some VERY eye poping designs!!!

Darkroom Door have a great range of stamps that are definitely not cutesy and are a bit different - some are photographic, others are lovely naturalistic illustrations. They're an Australian company but do have US retailers so have a look online if you see anything you like. My Under the Sea and Wings sets are amongst my favourite stamps and I'm currently hanging my nose over the new Orchids set (which might be up your street too as you like botanicals)!
ETA: Darkroom door are all cling-mount deeply etched natural red rubber, not sure if that's a factor in your decision-making when you buy new stamps!

Here are a few that I like - very cool stuff, definitely no cutesy things.
Green Pepper Press - lots of neat geometric images, tags, alphabets
Invoke Arts - I love the sheets of "artistic" sentiments. They have lots of other neat things, too.

I like Darkroom Door,
Artistic Outpost (these come in plain rubber or cling mounted)
Blockhead Stamps (several different lines here)
Stamp Zia
Magenta
and I like vintage at Crafty Secrets She is going all digital but there are still stamp sets available and they are on sale!
I have a stamp line at Inky Antics that is different from their other artists' - and generally nature-inspired. I sometimes like to stamp "cute" but I can't draw cute!
One of Inky Antics' sister companies is Art Gone Wild and Suzanne Carillo has some interesting designs you might like. Dylusions at Stampers Anonymous is another unique style.
I used to browse the company galleries here to "discover" new stamp lines, and you could also run a search for a specific topic.
After you've checked out everyone's links, maybe you could come back and let us know which ones struck your fancy - that may give people an even better idea of your style and we may think of more  . |

This is a thread I should not have looked at. I don't need any more places to shop for stamps. Too late. The damage is done. I've bookmarked Greenpepper, Invoke and Darkroom Door and will no doubt find myself trolling their sites at 10 p.m. one evening very soon (always a time of weakness for me). What I saw at a quick look was great.
I see that Phantom has already listed two of my favs - Blockheads and Magenta.
I would also add that Penny Black has a lot of beautiful stamps. Half of her stuff falls undeniably in the cute category, but the other half is decidedly not.

You might also want to check out StampDiva.com, LLC she carries a wide range of non cute, mostly artsy companies designs ( like a couple not already mentioned B Line, Cat's Life).
Home - 100 PROOF PRESS is also a great company, tons of vintage designs.
Both have great customer service too! |

Stampdiva carries Lynn Perella and Character Construction stamps, among many others that are beautiful and not sentimental StampDiva.com, LLC. Also Oxford Impressions here http://store.oxfordimpressions.com/ has beautiful sheets of unmouted rubber that are a bargain if you don't mind attaching your own cling rubber.
