Hi all. Well, I am trying to bite the bullet and upload my very first card. I have been lurking WAY to long. I have a question and wondered if someone could help me. When I go to upload a card, it asks which category I want to put it in.... There are hundreds!!! I just want it to go in the card gallery. When I go to Splitcoast I usually just click on "latest uploads" and spend all day viewing those, so I thought I could just upload it to Gallery, but there isnt one. Where would you upload just a normal card to? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Everything you upload automatically goes into your gallery. You can choose a category (like a technique, a specific Stampin' Up set, or a particular stamp company) if you want...this will enable people to find it by clicking on a particular section.

I'm a new uploader also. What if I've uploaded my cards into my member gallery, but now wish I could also have them in the SU stamp gallery they match? How can I cross-list them, so to speak?
And if I'm understanding you right, in the future I should choose to put them in the SU gallery and they will also be in my member gallery too, right?

if i don't use an SU! stamp set i just leave it on 'member gallery'
if the mods think it fits better in another category they will move it. no harm, no foul!
i am excited to see your first upload! it is quite addicting... i LOVE to share ideas because i have found so much inspiration here on SCS and i hope to be able to inspire others.
I tried to find an FAQ page that answered questions like this, but I couldn't find one. The Start Here thread was mostly just people asking questions (at least as far in as I read--I admit I gave up).
Is there an FAQ page on uploading somewhere I missed?
Thanks guys. 2.10am here now. I'm in Australia, AND.......... I have uploaded my very first card to splitcoast. Woo hoo. The lighting was pretty bad, so I will have to take a look at getting that better, but at least I know I can do it now. Maybe I can join in a few challenges..... Off to sleep now. Thanks, Daven! I read those guidelines, and I see that one thing I did wrong is that I did not rename all my photos on my computer before I uploaded them, so some have the generic name IMG2760, or whatever. Should I do anything about that now? (And if so, what exactly?) Or if it is already uploaded, it is OK, and I should just leave it alone?
