Default Help! My scissors are crying...

Well, I just got my SU! rubber cutting scissors and I LOVE them...they DO cut like buttah! Mounted 5 sets tonight, and now the scissors are sticky/ucky.
What is the best way to clean them?
Thanks!
Melissa

Default Cleaning the Scissors

I've just cleaned them with a cotton ball and alcohol. That seems to work pretty good!

I keep the bottle of Goo gone handy when I am mounting my sets. It is amazing!

If you don't have the other stuff, a little vegtable oil will clean them right up, too!

This the best thing I have found for cleaning my SU scissors. I cut all my stamps out and then I put them away all gooey. And they my friend borrows them and the next time I use them they are miraculously (sp?) clean.   Seems to work every time I use them.

After you clean your scissors, (I use Goo Gone) wipe the scissors over your VersaMark pad. Keeps them gucky free longer.

Goo Gone for this girl!

Works on sticky scissors, price labels on glass, anything sticky...gee, do you think I could clean my kids' faces with it? (Just kidding!)

Thank you, thank you for all the advice!
Love the piece about lending them out dirty (unfortunately, that's my style at times...a girl can get so lazy with cleaning...), but I fear if they leave, they'll never return!
Happy Stamping!
Melissa
P.S. Scarily, I HAVE painted things other than my nails with nail polish...

Default Stampin' Mist or Baby Wipes

I use either Stampin' Mist or Baby Wipes, which is what I use to clean my stamps anyway, so I always have it already on hand...The fewer products in my cupboards the better!

All my best,

Nancy

Hi!
I wipe them over the Versamark pad before I cut amd do "Goo Gone" after.
I got a tiny bottle at a craft store with a 50% off coupon.
It had a foil covering under the cap and I just poked a tiny hole in the foil so only one drop comes out at a time.
Love the orange smell.

Olive oil and a paper towel. Takes the goo right off.

Default What I use

Do you all want to know what I use?
They get cleaned really easy and goo comes right off
It makes your scissors nice and slick for next use
PLUS it makes your scissors smell WONDERFUL...

AVON SKIN SO SOFT BATH OIL!!!!!!

This stuff is a stampers DREAM!!!!! Plus it will make your Avon lady happy to get your order!

Try it, you'll never use goo gone or nail polish remover ever again on your scissors once you've tried Skin So Soft!
