Default Help me find a memorial quote for pet

I am making a memorial frame for my sister in law, who unexpectedly lost her pet chinchilla. I want to include a quote or poem of some sort but am having trouble finding something that isnt specifically related to cats or dogs. I want it to be something along the lines of her memory living on, she will be remembered, she lived a great life, etc. Any suggestions?

How about the Rainbow Bridge? It's beautiful. I'll try to find it for you.

Please extend my sincerest sympathies to your sister. I know what it is like to loose a beloved pet, no matter how big or small. They become members of our families.

I found a site for you: www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm

It has a lot of stuff for oyu. The poem itself, grief support, e-sympathy cards and more. You might want to check it out and maybe your sister might feel like looking at the grief support section.

There is a site called Rubber Hedgehog that has some pet memorial stamps.

On the addicted to rubber stamps website, there is a stamp that says:

Losing a pet is never easy. Please know that others understand your sense of loss and are thinking of you.

Hope that helps. My heart goes out to them. I lost my childhood dog 1.5 years ago (see my avatar pic to the left). It's something you never get over.

You might try this website: www.dmarie.com and go to Inspiration than to the Poem Place? They have alot of different poems for all sorts of things.

How long can it be?
Rainbow Bridge is stunning and suitable for all animals i think. I think only you know the tone-how sentimental or 'deep' to go but I cerytainly believe we may not see our much loved family and friends but one day we'll be re-united forever and these are feelings that can be expressed so personally yourself-that the chinchilla is watching over your sister in law, with other departed animals and people and well and will never be ill again.

What a kind person you are-we don't always see the purpose of such tragedy but we have to retain the hope-the belief that the distance is temporary and really, all is well, we just can't see our loved ones right now-but they are here with us whilst at the same time at rainbow bridge/Heaven!!

Thanks for your suggestions. I found a poem on dMarie that I liked. I just need to change a couple lines to make it apply to the chinchilla.

I know that it must be different,
now that I am no longer here.
I realize how much I was loved
and how all of you did care.

I know it will be hard at first
when you look around for me.
Expecting to find me in my bed
or sitting by my favorite tree.

Someday you will begin to see
although it’ll take some time,
the happy times you shared with me,
the memories are yours and mine.

I'll remember you, my family,
and how much you meant to me.
So please don't grieve and don't be sad,
it was just my time to leave.
