Exclamation Help with manly wedding card!!

My boss and his partner are getting married next week up in Canada and I have been asked to make a wedding card from the office.

Any ideas??? I don't really think the traditional florally type is the way to go.

TIA,
~janice

Default Do you have the Filigree background stamp?

Hi,

I think the filigree background would help make an impressive, yet manly, wedding card. It's retired though - so I don't know if you have it. But if you go to the gallery and look under Filigree, you might be able to get some inspiration for your card.

Also, french script is a nice background to use for wedding cards and it's not too feminine or frilly.

Also, you could do something with music (music notes, etc) - sometimes that theme could be suitable for a wedding.

Not sure if I've been any help or not - I'll keep thinking,
Christine

I went and looked at the gallery myself, and here are some ideas

(maybe make it silver or gold embossed with a picture of champagne flutes or something in the middle instead of the dress?)

(maybe without the bow? or make the bow more manly?)

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
(maybe tie two of those foil wedding rings on the bow?)

Anyway, there were many more I could have put in here, but I think these might get you off to a good start. And you could probably substitute another background (like the french script) for any of these.
I hope the links work, because I've never put in links before.
HTH,
Christine

I thought this one looked like a nice masculine wedding card:

Good luck!

No pressure now Jan... I really like the first one that rocketgirl posted. Could you use something with Toile Blossoms instead of the Filigree. Also...what about something with my Houndstooth? I'll browse for you 'cause I know you're sooooo busy working! And I'm just sitting around eating BonBons! ;) Talk to you later!

I think "linograph" would make a very nice statement.

What about very simple, black with silver or gold EP embossed or even brown with copper?

Just a simple elegant card

Default I wanna see..

Please come back and post the card you make, okay? I, for one, am very interested in what you come up with - whatever it is, it will be beautiful and I can't wait to see it.
