Default Help! Looking for source for magnetic tins

I have a small magnetic tins that came with buttons in it. I do not know the manufacturer. I would like to find some more this size. Mine is 2 1/2 wide and 1 1/4 high. If you know of a source for these please let me know. Thank you for any help.

ok, these are probably close to what you mean.... at Targets $ spot (i shop there all the time and saw these about a week or so ago), they have plastic containers. They come in hot pink or turquoise and have a clear area on the lid, as well as a sliding lid so you can pour small things out of the side without removing the lid. (The best way i can describe this, is on grated parmesan cheese, you slide the top to get to pour the cheese. picture that concept but on the side of the lid, not the top). They are about 1 1/2-2 inches across by maybe 3-4 inches deep. A set of four was $2.50, i think, not actually $1, but they had magnets on the bottom of the jars.
Now, i KNOW there is a spice rack that uses magnet-bottomed spice jars, i saw one once, they were stainless steel containers with clear lids..... don't remember who made em though

Is there a magnet on the tin, or do magnets stick to the tin?

The bottom of the tine is completely covered with a thin round magnet. Like it was cut from a magnet sheet.

Michael's had them before and during the holidays. They were with the storage cubes and stuff near the scrapbook section in the middle of a main aisle.

ACMoore had them over the summer maybe? They were with the seasonal school supplies in the middle of a main aisle.

I haven't noticed them recently, but then again, I haven't been looking for them. They are on my list of things to get when I organize my craft space.

I just Googled round magnetic tins and there are a few sites to check out. Here are a few links:

http://www.specialtybottle.com/index...n=Custom&ID=39

http://www.simpletins.com/index.php

The tins on the specialty bottle site don't seem to be magnetic. You should be able to add your own magnet bottoms. Buy a sheet of magnet and cut, punch? or die cut the shape and attach.

I have also seen these tins with dividers in them. Staples had them during September with paper clips, tacks and such already in the tin.

Michael's also has tins with the special occasion M&M's. I don't know what size they are but I recall they were round and maybe .99 cents.

Thanks Gingerbread. Your google produced way more info that I got when I searced. The non magnetic ones seem like a good buy and like you said I can always put magnetic on them. TFS!
