Default Help with this card

I am making birthday invitations for my daughters first birthday party in December. Here is the card I have right now.

Cupcake by skstampin at Splitcoaststampers

I feel like it's missing something. Thoughts? Things you would add or change? I need to keep it somewhat simple b/c I'm making so many of them.

I appreciate your input!

It's really pretty! Maybe add some ribbon along that argyle dp, add some brads to the left side of the card, maybe stamp a background stamp on the yellow base? I Love your colors!

Very nice card! If you wanted to add something, I'd go with a background stamp or if you have a cb or big shot, maybe an embossed background. Really pretty card as it is though.

very cute...love the glitter...I might either do the dots or the wrapper in pink, and add some 3d elements like ribbon or brads..

Can you use the dotted paper for the frosting and then mount it on white. Then it will look like sprinkles and you can still glitter them.

Otherwise maybe some ribbon?

I was thinking I should have done something like that with the dots on the frosting.

Thanks for the other tips. I don't know if I have enough ribbon to use for this card but I will play around with maybe some brads or a background stamp. Thank you so much for the ideas!!

maybe add some piercing.

I would add some gold glitter to the flame on the candle.

i would not do dots on the white panel, but instead do them on the yellow BG.

I agree...I was going to suggest paper piercing along both sides of the argyle paper. What a great card, though! I'm sure everyone will love it. Make sure to save a card for the scrapbook! Good luck!!

I think a darker color layer to contrast the main image from the background. Also, darker ink or a layer behind the sentiment might help. The card is really cute, the polka dots are great.

Good idea!

I'm playing with it still - once I have the finished product I'll post it again! Thanks ladies!

Add some purple sprinkles to the cupcake to repeat the color in the scrapbook paper --

Or leave it as it is - it's a great card!

I might stamp or type a sentiment to say "You're invited" so they know it is an invitation right off the bat. The card is great! I know you want to keep it simple to mass produce. I like the idea of matting it as well with a little black!

the card is pretty the way it is. I agree with adding ribbon and maybe some brads or baubles.
