Question help 16 birthday card for a young man

My neighbor boy is turning 16 and I really need help with an idea. He is hoping to also get his drives license also if this any help and he is is very active in sports. My stamp collection is not oriented in the teenaged section any punch ideas or anything. I would appreciate any help or ideas. He is a great kid and would want to do something for him.

I made this card for my nephew who just turned 16 at the end of April . . .

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=123438

It's a waterfall card made with a stamp by Stamps by Judith. If you're interested, I'm happy to stamp the images and mail them off to you.

I think stars, candles or balloons could be made into a masculine type card. Another idea that came to my mind is to use decorative paper in the background like the card I posted the link to. You could trace around and cut out a car key and put it in the center.

note: I didn't make this card, it's in the gallery and I just loved it~

I would be happy to send some images. I have Rough and Tumble, old fashioned Football. Classic Pickups, and I have a lot of nature stamps.

Here's one that I made for my nephew when he turned 16. I cut it on the wishblade, but I think you could cut it by hand too.

I did these cards about two years ago when my stamping supplies were in storage for a move - its amazing what you can do on the computer and with a printer (don't even need a color one you can add that)

If you reverse print on cardstock you can cut out with a craft knife like I did with these two cards and the printed lines are then on the back of the piece. I did the back grounds with either fonts I had downloaded or pictures. HTH

Great jeans card - reminds me of the one I made last year for my niece with an "ipod" giftcard holder in the pocket... though I admit this one is definitely a step above the one I did but they are relatively easy to do! Good reminder!

You could always go to one of the free clip art sites and print a black & white image to color and use on your card. I use Microsoft Clip Art. Works great when you need an image that you don't have. I just recently printed a bicycle and colored it with Prismacolor markers for a card for my dgs who just learned to ride without training wheels.

Here is a card that I did for my friend's son when he was 15 but it would work for a 16th birthday as well.

You could make him a personalized license plate, here is a link for one:

My son and his buddies have all just turned (or are going to turn) 16. I've done a couple of things for them. Either those guys enjoyed the cards/gifts or they are really good at indulging me--and I really don't care which it was! It made me feel good to do something for them!

The first card I did was a gift card holder with a gas card in it. I used the Elzybells stamp of the boy with his car to decorate it.

The second idea I used was to use the origami shirt made out of a dollar bill (or a ten, or a twenty, or . . .you get my drift) which I mounted with temporary adhesive on a decorated card base . I usually tried to do a Hawaiian theme for this to keep it a little younger feeling. Both ideas seemed to go over well. Good luck!

My nephew just turned 14. He returned from a trip to Cedar Point. I used the "Pocket" from the Stampin Up "Pocket Fun" stamp set. In the pocket I placed a captured image of a Cedar Point map, a cell phone, and his team baseball cap which I copied onto cardstock and cut out. I made another "Pocket" for the inside for his Birthday Money.
My greeting was in "text speak".

I've used this same pocket for many occasions putting various things in the "Pocket" --
retirement cards (social security cards, AARP cards, etc.)
Female B'Day (images of favoriate mall credit cards w/their names & acct. #s)
