Default I have it

I have this and I have used it one time. I used it to adhere flock to a bear in a noah set I have. I stamped in versamark, sprinkled the powder, heated it for a sec and added the flock and then heat set again. I know you can use the same principle for glitter.

kind of sounds like a pain, why wouldn't you just use 2 way glue or CE? Or is it needed for flock?

If you have a detailed stamp and want it all to be glittered or flocked the heat and stick will work on the whole image and all the little details. I use the 2 way glue when I just want to put glitter in one to two spots, but it doesn't work very well when you want the whole image or the tiny details glittered!

That must be why I have only used it once! LOL I have had it for over 2 years. I didn't know that you could use a 2 way glue pen to stick flock on. Maybe I can pull out the flock that has been sitting next to the heat and stick powder for 2 years!

Actually I meant to ask if you could use those for flock. I have no idea, I've never used flock!

Default heat n stick

I use the heat and stick for glitter and I like that it raises the image a bit. So you get more a textured effect than if I just used a 2-way glue pen over top of the stamped image.

I have found, however, that the window of opportunity with heat and stick is pretty small. You have to VERY QUICKLY apply the glitter to the image after embossing or it won't stick. Does anyone else notice this?

I love the heat and stick powder. It is great for stamping an image and pouring glitter on top. Lightly reheat. I did this at a birthday party for my daughter and the girls loved it. Also I have done a whole rectangle in pink and brown Simple Shapes, then versamarked the whole thing and covered with heat and stick. Heat up powder and pour on crystal glitter. It is one of my favourite cards.

Also, it is perfect for pearl ex. Stamp you image in versamark (I loved this with the Millinery Wheel on black cardstock) and cover with heat and stick. Heat lightly and brush on pearl ex. It really makes the pearl ex pop!

I also use the heat and stick to adhere the micro beads to cards and scrapbook pages. It's great when you want to add glitter or beads to details.
