Default Hawaii scrapbook stores

I will be heading to Hawaii soon - cruising to many of the Islands. Are there any must visit scrapbook stores I need to add to my shopping list?

Your best bet would be to google search for the area you would be in.

If you are looking for "hawaiian" srap sore that is.

To tell you the truth, prices here are "increased" because of the shipping form the mainland. You could pretty much buy what you want here as you can on the mainland. But you have to hit the stores when shipment comes in cause stock flys out real fast.

I live on Maui, and we have one scrapbook store (no rubber stamp stores). The store is called "Island Paperie". It has a lot of Hawaiian themed papers, die cuts, etc. Would be perfect if you're scrapping your cruise! PM me if you'd like the address.

That is one of the problems from doing a google search. I am not sure if the store is still open when I have found them. I did come across the Island Paperie - thanks for letting me know that it is still open. I am traveling with my DH and 2 other couples, so don't want to spend all my time searching for stores that are no longer open.

Give me some time and I will check for you on Hawaiian scrap stores in Oahu.

Like I said if you are looking for "everyday" scrapin stuff, it is cheaper on the mainland.

I visited Paper Island in Oahu when I was visiting my son, who is stationed there with the Army, the week before Christmas last year. I just posted a card on my blog with a link to their website. And Jared was most helpful giving us Wisconsin-ites a language tutorial!

There are two stores on the Big Island (or at least there WERE) - One in Hilo and one on the other side. . .

Here are 2 of my favorites:

Stamps And Memories - in Aiea

Cute Stuff - in Honolulu (this one is a real treat for stampers!) Lianne, the owner is very sweet. There are stamps everywhere you look.

Look for stamps by Mari & Me while you're in the Islands. They are cute, but authentic, Hawaiian themed stamps. They are manufactured right there in Honolulu on Oahu, so the prices are reasonable...no shipping!

If you are looking for Hawaiian stamps and scrap book stuff try any of the Ben Franklin stores. They usually carry a good assortment of Hawaiian stamps, paper, etc.
Enjoy beautiful Hawaii, we miss it very much.

I second the post about the SCrapbook Store on the Big Island. I believe it is in Kona near all the shops. I went there last year when we on our Honeymoon - it was great to find a scrapbook store while we were there!!

You should NOT miss Island Paperie in Maui on Lower Main St. Its a fantastic scrapbooking store for the tourist. Lots of Hawaiian die cuts and beautiful papers. The owner knows how to treat the spouses right also. Provides them with a flat screen TV and leather recliners in their viewing area. My DH was not in any hurry to leave. And don't forget to have a wonderful time.

I just got back 2 days ago from staying 10 days on the Big Island. Kona Scrapbooks is NO longer open....I went there, only to find a "for lease" sign on their window. The scrapbook store in Hilo is still open. I think it's called "Island Scrapbook" or something.

I'm sorry to hear that. I think that Kona Scrapbook had more stamps - but the store in Hilo is cute and there used to be a small rubber stamp store within a few blocks of it

You can go to Island Paperie's website and see the various Hawaiian style cardstock they have. I'm not sure what day the cruise ship gets to Kahului. If it's a Saturday, they're only open from 10am-2pm and closed on Sundays. Have a great time! Note: The Ben Franklin Store at the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center is a couple blocks from the port, but does not have as much Hawaiian stuff as Island Paperie.

The scrapbook store in Kona just closed. The owners had to move back to the mainland to take care of personal family business.

There is a wonderful scrapbooking store in Waimea on The Big Island (Kamuela-is the US Post Office official name so it is not confused with Waimea on Oahu). It is called Suzi's Scrapbooking Paradise. It is behind the Parker Ranch Center. It shares a lease pace with a musical instrument company. She has a hugh selection of island themed papers. She also has books of papers that she has in stock but doesn't have room to display.

Also, as someone else stated the Ben Franklin stores are all we have for stamping and crafting supplies (we have no Michael's JoAnn's, etc). The Ben Franklin store in Waimea is within the Ace Hardware store. They carry a line of island themed stamps, scrapbooking kits, papers, etc. Wiamea is 60 miles from Kona and 50 miles from Hilo at the intersection of Hwy19 and Hwy 190.

There is a Ben Franklin and Island Scrapbooking in Hilo. Both are located on Kilaue Ave.

Good Luck and enjoy all The Islands!

Stamps and Memories in Aiea on O'ahu is great as well they have a ton of stamps. As crazy as is sounds i found a few great hawaiian stamps at Walmart. Also keep an eye out in most gift shops i've found some there as well.. Have a great time. Hawaii is great!

Thanks for all of the advice. I knew I could count on SCS friends to point me in the right direction. Our Ben Franklin closed last year - enjoyed the clearance prices, but miss the store, so that will be on the list also.
