Cornish Heritage Farms is hosting an Illustrator Search...makes me wish I could draw just so I could have my art created into stamps....but since I can't I hope some really cool SCSer will get that opportunity!!!! Then we could all go nuts saying "we knew you when" LOL!!!!
I know!!! I wish I could draw!
How totally cool would it be to have your very own artwork created into stamps that someone else would WANT TO BUY???????????
I know you can contact Schwaab, Inc. in Milwaukee to have custom made stamps. Any drawing or logo, if it's a good black & white camera-ready copy, can be made into a stamp.
Yeah but to have your own art created into stamps for a stamp company??? That is just so cool!
Any of you who are submitting be sure to post to this thread so we can all keep our fingers crossed....
Signed,
THE ONE WHO STAMPS BECAUSE SHE CAN NOT DRAW!!! LOL

That's cool, too.
But, I think what Keri meant, was CHF is on the hunt for new illustrators for their stamp line, and if you can draw . . . ;)
I wonder if they'd be interested in my skillz--I draw pretty mean stick-people!
NOT!!!!
:p
But, hey, anybody that can draw, should check it out!

I'm with Keri on this one--I've always said I stamp because I CAN'T draw!!! ;-)
BTW, I've wondered if this is a "conflict of interest" for demos of any company? (I saw the announcement posted on ASB today too.) Any thoughts? I sent the info to my downline (an awesome graphic designer), but now I wonder about that....hmmm....
Thoughts anyone?

Excellent point Diane. If you are a demonstrator for a stamp company such as Stampin' Up! you can not create images for a competing company.
I am not sure about the guidelines for Close to My Heart or The Angel Company.
OK I used to also think this - however a demo called SU on it (recently and she posted this on the demo side here) and THIS is what the reply was: Please know that you may design concepts for other companies; however, you may not sell their products. Additionally, you may design stamp sets for another company, as your job; however, you may not sell these stamp sets.
???????
I'm now curious b/c I was considering sending some doodles in (they'd prolly laugh at my drawings but it couldn't hurt could it??) but don't want to break any rules.....
Yup, not mine but my dad's. He's a great artist. I even looked into the whole set up from Stewart Superior. This was 12 years ago. Never did anything though.

Very interesting Amy. Mebbe you should call DS so you know for sure and send some images on in!

Ya know I just might!! (I still think they'll laugh tho - I can draw a little but I haven't in a long time - I'm no Anna Wight that's for sure!! ;) )
Well...............I suppose.............but I sure wouldn't mind spending a day (or two!!) in your shoes  - as long as it's doing the crafty things ;) ROFL!!!
I showed this to my DH. When I see a picture I like in a store I drag him in and say "make that for me honey!" and he does. I'm going to try to persuade him to draw some things for this. It might not be their style, but it would be fun to have him enter!
