Default Have you ever hosted a day crop

or know someone that has? I'm thinking about doing this to make some $, jump start the possibilty of becoming a SU demo, and as a fundraiser. My sister-in-law owns a dance studio and there is more than adequate room for scrappers and stampers. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips as to how to go about this. I thought about doing it as a fundraiser for the dance/gymnastics teams at the studio- that way I already have 200+ families that I can advertise to. Plus, I can sell SU stuff there and help jump start that business by getting my name out. What do you think?
Thanks for any input!

Sounds like you're ready to be a demo to me! I would think of some challenges to have and provide people a list of what they might need to do the challenge. I would also suggest bringing your work and haveing a sign up sheet for your first class or workshop as a demo. You may also be able to coordinate some tools for people to use such as die cuts?

I'm hoping I'm ready. I just probably won't be able to hold this crop until the fall. We are building a house and baby #3 is due in 7 weeks. The plus side is that this will give me plenty of time to plan and research 'crops'.

What type of challenges were you thinking about?

Thanks for your info! If you think of anything else that might be helpful, please let me know.

Some crops have prizes too. They're a lot of fun. I've seen some where the demo just did the prizes (either supplies or homemade items) and some where local lss donated prizes (and of course got their name promoted!). You could have the prizes for either pages/cards completed or random drawings from the participants there.
