Has anyone tried acetate frost technique from Feb/March 2006 Technique junkie?
I am wondering about the acetate. I went to do the heat emboss and my transparency melted. Does anyone have any helpful hints. The cards from this technique are gorgeous. Thanks in advance. smgrimes
You need to use transparencies intended for thermal printing, i.e., laser printing. Laser printers and copiers are HOT, so the transparencies need to be able to withstand that. Regular transparencies, or window plastic, will melt. You can get the correct type at any office supply store.
I tried it with the SU! window sheets today and it worked fine. I was careful not to overheat or put the heating tool too close to the window sheet but it did emboss the powder without melting anything.
