Default Greasy punch??

I finally received my paper piecing punch today. I began playing with it and it's leaving a greasy residue on my paper! Acckk!! Help!! Has anyone had this happen before? Should I try to clean up inside where the blades are? Any suggestions are appreciated....I really don't want to return it.

I just got mine and found the same problem. I'm guessing the greasiness will wear off after awhile, but it's not really usuable right now.

Me too!! mine's not really bad... I thought I drooled on the paper or something, but after a few punches (I started using scrap paper) it's gone away!!!

I don't have mine yet... but I've had this problem with other punches before. I usually punch a bunch on some cheap paper or card stock so it can absorb all the grease. Once it stops then I use it on my nice SU! paper. If it doesn't go away soon, I would return it!
