Hi my SCS friends! I'm finding with the closing down of several scrapping places in my area I'm having a difficult time finding a good variety of ribbon.
Could you direct me to a good online source to purchase ribbon from?
I rarely get any ribbon online, but I get some cute spools of 5 designs for $1 at the Target bargain bins. They seems to be almost phasing out alot of their scrapbook/stamp supplies here, but if you're good, you can catch them at just the right time (ie: Ihave 10 mailboxes) you get cool stuff.

I have gotten some great ribbon from My Favorite Things. I also got a HUGE box of ribbon from Ms Jody Morrow (aka TexasJodyLynn) for a good price. http://confessionsofaribbonaddict.blogspot.com/
Try pinkhedgehog . I am not sure of the exact website name... I think it's www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com, but I could be wrong, but I am sure if you google it you will find it - I have ordered from them a bunch of times and it has been really reasonable, and great service.
They have a ton of colors in Schiff & Offray. For 3/8" grosgrain it's about $1 for 5 yards. Because I'm local to them, I order online and then check the option for local pick up. Way dangerous having them so close to me. LOL
Most of my ribbon is SU, but I've bought some "specialty" ribbon from StarlitStudio. I just love how she does the packaging. Each "yardage" is folded really nicely and is in its own little plastic baggie. Very very nice. I've gotten some different colors of gingham, and stripes, etc. I've used the narrow orange and green gingham for general baby thank-yous. I stamp a cute giraffe in green or orange and then tie a knot in the ribbon and glue-dot it to his neck and it's adorable! StarlitStudio owner Cindy Liles also carries the thicker May Arts ribbons. Some you can even buy by the spool if there's a particular one you need a lot of. But her prices are fair, the ribbons gorgeous, and she is SO sweet to work with!

get a passport. buy a plane ticket. rent a car. go to the offray outlet in Hagerstown Maryland.
You will spend $10 on ribbon that will last you for 20 years and I'm not exaggerating!!! The total cost will still be a bargain!
I was going to mention this, but I saw she was looking for something online. I just have to say that you are sooooo right! There is one near me (about 1/2 hour away) and last time I was there I spent $4 for 50 yards of 1/4" grosgrain white ribbon. Plus I bought lots more other colors
You can order online through Offray, but I never did. Here is the link:
I love PTI ribbons, but I find myself using and sharing them so much with my Croatian friends that I decided to find cheaper alternates. Here are some things I found:
BBCrafts - I just recently purchased a bunch from them. I am very pleased with the price ($7.50 for 50 yards for their satin ones) and quality. I bought their gingham check ribbons and I just love them. They're very similar to the the kind May Arts sells. The catch is you have to buy them in spools.
If you don't want to buy in bulk, try Really Reasonable Ribbons. I've bought many times from them. They always have a good sale.

www.reasonableribbon.com has some of the least expensive ribbon i've come across...and the shipping is really quick and reasonable. Plus, they have a section of colors that are matched up with SU colors and you can't tell the difference in the grosgrain ribbon...
