I have been on the lookout for some good general dog-themed stamp sets for quite a while. Seems everything I see is either too "cute" for me or is just a specific breed. Anyone out there have any suggestions for me? TIA for any help.
A great place to check would be to do a gallery search for the keyword: dog . I haven't been looking specifically for that category, but that's one of my first means of "shopping for images" when I have a particular theme or genre in mind. (Besides that gallery-gazing & gallery-shopping are fun as well!) ;)
I have a really nice Hero Arts clear dog stamp set (they also made a great cat set) that I got in a discount bin at Michael's years ago but it looks like they don't make it anymore. They do have some nice individual wood mounted ones though, if you do a Google search for "hero arts dog stamps." I found this one as I was looking — it's about the least cutesy one that I saw!
I'm trying to find some as well, so I was happy to see your question. I am going to try to make cards for the animal shelter I started volunteering for and I need a better variety of dogs and cats. Now I'm off to check out the suggested ones.
I got this set to start as it had both cats and dogs. I also got a cute cat set from Taylored Expressions. I think they have a similar dog set, so I need to pick that up.

Unity does have a bunch of very sweet dog and child sets-- but funny enough I dont think of of them as "dog" so much-some cant be separated from the girl, but I think over all it's because of the sentiments with them-which you'll get if you look at them. I have several of those. I like that artist a lot.
You might check out Eat Cake Graphics and Lost Coast. That's where I got my favorite dog stamps. Eat Cake has tons of dog (and cat) stamps. Cute, but not too cute
I needed some paw prints and found 3 diff sizes in a set by Paper Smooches. I think it is called Paws For A Cause. Four diff doggie images, a couple sayings, a bone, etc. Just what I needed. You might google that one to see where sold. I got mine from Scrapbook.com.
Another vote vote for rubber hedgehog. They have lots of pet stamps including pet sympathy and the rainbow bridge poem. I have place a order with them and was pleased with the service. You name the pet and they will have the stamp too beside the numerous dogs including all the different breeds and cat stamps. I hope I have put in the tight address for the website.
