For the first time in a long time, I'm looking to do some serious scrapbooking and so I've been looking up sites to look for albums. So surprised that SU has basically opted out of the album market, but while looking at their cover I was quite taken by the yellow border on the left hand side. What IS that? Is it a designer paper? Or a really wide ribbon? Or a jumbo stampin' around stamp? I looked in the back of the book to see if I could tell, but it only gives info on the cards.
A couple other SU questions while I'm at it:
1. the cool cat stamp set--it appears that this has been discontinued, right?
2. does SU still sell designer-print vellum?
As you can probably tell, it's been a few years. The scary thing is that I STILL have a load of stuff from my demonstrator days.
It does look nice on the cover. I thought it was the print from one of the papers in the Razzleberry Lemondade set but now I'm not so sure. I just got my catalog so I'm still admiring every page! Subscribing so I can find out too...
I think it's gorgeous, too. It is the Razzleberry lemonade paper. The coordinating stamp is in Razzle Dazzle on page 94. I just wish I loved the rest of that paper as much as I love that one pattern. The stamp set really does tempt me, though.
Thank you Diana, Grams, and Library mommy for responding. I'll have to go back and look at Razzle Dazzle. What's funny is that SU uses designer paper for section breaks and says what the paper is--except the cover! (as far as I can tell) I thought it might be some kind of ribbon because of the way it is spooled on the cover. Maybe things would be more obvious if I was looking at the actual book opposed to the catty online.
Thanks again for your responses! I appreciate the help!

?? You lost me there. What do you mean by that? They still have albums. Are you meaning the lack of selection? I believe they are standard colors meant to be embellished as needed if that helps.
The last time I bought a scrapbook from SU!, it was . . . 2004 I think. Maybe2005. They had these great albums, i.e. there was one in a soft yellow (more like Barely Banana than a neutral, but it's possible it was supposed to be a neutral) with a very light, raised filigree pattern. It was super pretty, and I made (and gave away) several albums. There were a limited choice of other albums available--maybe 4-6. Later I know that SU! was really into the 6" x 6" albums as brag books.
I currently don't have the actual catty but had to page through electronically, so maybe I missed something. But it appeared to me that the only albums SU! has are on page 185, and those are 8-1/2" chipboard albums that are three-ring. No post albums, no 6" x 6" albums (which were great, as you could get four pages/8 sides out of a single piece of 12" x 12" paper!) What I'm really looking for is something like the old Filigree albums--lightly embossed, already made (in terms of the cover) 12" x 12" and with a post construction.
If I'm wrong and SU! does offer the above, I'll be delighted. just couldn't find anything else on the website.

If you go on a demo's website or maybe even the SU website, I haven't been to that one to see how different it is/is not from a demo website - they are located under "Storage" I know, what a wierd place but that's where they are at. They have just the linen ones now. I know my fave was the light blue with the hearts they had! The linen ones are in navy, red or green or a sand color and in 3 sizes 12x12 8-1/2 x 11 or 6x6 and in post or ring.
