Default Glue Pen Clogging

I don't know if this has been addressed on here before. I can't tell you how many of the ballpoint glue pens (with the blue liquid glue) I've bought and thrown away. I use one, put the cap on, store it tip-down, and by the time I go to use it again, the glue doesn't flow. Is there a trick to this? Maybe soak in hot water? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

These glue pens come with a tiny piece of plastic or something covering the nib. When you pull that off, save it and put it back on the pen when you're finished. Who knows how long these pens have been manufactured before we buy them, but they work great at first. That little covering is why.

The little plastic covers are easily lost - good luck finding them. So here's another solution: buy a package of polymer clay. Roll a tiny piece into a ball and stick that on your nib. Works like a charm!

Thanks for that hint about the clay.

My advice, for what it's worth, is get the zig ballpoint glue pen. It's much better and durable/long-lasting than the sakura one!!!!

On the other thread (estamps) mentioned to store points down. That’s what i do and i have some of my Sakura glitter pens for 5 years and they still work. I like the tombow glue and if it gets clogged i just use a hat pin to unstop it.
