Question Gift Cans

I am going to be making my first gift can and I was just wondering if I should use cardstock or scrapbook paper.

I would say patterned paper as it's more pliable.

i've done a few and the PP would be easier.
i used CS and the seam looked like 'the shirt was too small' if you know what i mean. LOL
