On the contrary....I have SO much stuff that I am having a hard time justifying spending the gas to go and buy more. I'm on a "Use what you have before buying more" kick. I am in the process of getting everything off my dining room table and into my new stamping space so it's like shopping at home! I have found some awesome stuff that got buried and now I'm hoping to use it!

Not yet I seem able to combine a lot of things into a trip, so that anything nearest to me is 40-60 minutes away, I make sure I'm doing a lot of things of the way. Like groceries, banking, visiting. I live in the country so we have to travel anyway you look at it.
I used to go to stores and buy up stuff.. now I don't do that.. I try buying only Stampin' Up! and that way it's a win win situation for me.
I drive a "big rig" as my dad calls it and it only gets about 14mpg, but I don't let the gas prices affect what I buy, I stamp to make cards mainly for deployed troops, I can't not make them so that is why I have limited myself to only ordering from myself. .. as my husband told me.. gas it about $1.00 more a gallon than what it was when we bought the Armada, so I really am only spending about $30 more every week and a half..

I definitely have not been out shopping as much. My LSS is also an hour away and if we go to the in the area we do lots of shopping all at once. It saves us on gas, time and being green too! I'm starting to order my supplies online. There is more selection too online.
I'm really luck I guess, when it comes to the gas. My car gets about 33 mpg on the highway, and I carpool to work with my boyfriend, so we only spend about 40$/week on gas, including weekend trips. Plus, I live 4 miles from one LSS, 15 from another. 7 miles to M's and about 10 to ACM.
What *is* affecting me is the price of food. I have to feed myself and 3 guys in their 20's! LoL. My grocery bill is skyrocketing.... :(
I guess for me the honest answer would be a little bit. I don't drive much but my hubby does a lot of driving for work. So the increase in his gas consumption does make me spend a little less than before. I only order online from 3 places and don't go to Micheals, Joann's or ACMoore. So I'm not tempted that way. I try to be happy for what I can buy and not be sad for what I can't. There is always next month to get more right
My favorite stores are over an hour away -- HL, J's & M's -- so I don't shop in those places as much. But between my LSS & on-line shopping, I haven't been good as far as cutting back on my spending -- yet. I'm at the point though where I really need to drastically cut back on my spending.
Not at all. If anything I am stamping more! I am not out as much running errands, therefore I have more time at home to stamp! Plus I buy most of my stamps and supplies online, therefore I don't waste gas.

I still treat myself to new stuff, but I have found that I tend to think about my purchases a bit more than I used to. Not as many impulsive buys as I used make.

I live 3hrs from the nearest M's, so I do most of my shopping online and SU (how can you not like the fact that both come right to your door). When I do go to the city I have a list of things I would like to get and I go to M's, or if I know my mom or sister are coming to visit me I tell them what I would like from M's and they go in search of it for me (I usually have to give them pictures and extensive details as they usually don't know what I am talking about). I am usually on a budget for my monthly stamping supplies so it really hasn't affcted how much I spend, and I am a SHAM in a small town so I don't do much driving either.
I've cut down trips to my local craft stores so much so that I've only been once or twice in the past six months. Yikes! Haven't visited a local stamp store because they're all closed in my area!!
I like to shop online. Better selection and the shipping covers what I would have paid in gas anyways.
Oh I hear you guys! I am a SAHM as well, I've been splurging on a few stamps from bella's and MFT, I have a gift card for Joann's and right now they have a sale on their stamps. We have a large store that has lots of stamps (oh its like a candy store for stampers!).
Gas is $4.00 to $4.09 in this area and just going higher by the day!
I have and will be stamping more because of the gas.
I have less money so even if I have no time to make a card I won't buy one, I will knuckle down and make one even if not a masterpiece. Had to do that yesterday with making 12 thank yous, I "let go" and did something simple that DD could color in!
I plan on stamping more and my neighbor across the st was saying how she plans on staying home more this summer because of gas and that we should do more crafts with and without the kids. I could seriously supply them all for quite some time but she also has a basement full of crafts so we are pretty set for the summer, no need to go anywhere!
I am actually kind of GLAD for the pure aspect of less pressure to go places, I can always use the excuse that we aren't driving as much this summer!
I've cut back on trips to Mikes, ACM and Joanns. I try to go only if I need to be near them for some other errand. I also try to anticipate my needs so that I don't have to run out just for adhesive or glue dots or ribbon. I'm also ordering more online - not so much to save the gas but because I'm seeing so much that I like.

Fortunately I'm not in a situation where I can't purchase supplies or goodies because of gas and food prices. I've been there though, let me tell ya! But I am deliberately cutting back on driving and my unnecessary purchases so that I can actually put money away. I can't believe how expensive gas is. I drive a 5 speed Toyota Camry and I filled it up for $67 last week!! I about died. I've never put that much in my car. It caused me to walk to school a few days to pick up my son which is great. It saves me gas and money, better for the air and is much needed exercise. I really feel for those people who have to do huge commutes each day. I guess this gas issue isn't going anywhere soon. Not to rub salt into a wound, but this will really make all of us consider our resources and how we can better utilize them. It will be like the gas crisis in the 70's I suppose that brought out smaller more fuel efficient cars. I live in LA and you can't go one block with out seeing a Prius. Car dealerships in the area are refusing to trade in SUV's because no one is buying them.

You are luck gas is that cheap! here in Los Angeles its $4.60 a gallon. And the crazy thing is, the refineries are 20 miles from where I live. Go figure.
Costs too much to just get in the car and drive the 35-40 miles to the nearest scrapbbok store, Micheal's or JoAnns! Sad, but what are we suppose to do?
Hope to get there soon, I really need a fix!

It would be a warm welcome if we were at $4.09! We are at $4.60 the last I checked. It costs me a mini fortune to gas up :(
I order larger orders, but less often with the companies because
shipping seems to be getting higher or probably will. I USE 40% OFF
coupons, Joanne fabrics, etc whenever I go to help compensate for gas price,
but i haven't cut back on spending, though I probably should.
