Default Gallery Question

I am new here, so bear with me. I just uploaded my first card today!

My question is about the gallery -- hopefully I don't get flamed! I am very creative, but I guess I am not at the point yet where I can come up with my own ideas, so usually I will see a card in a magazine or on the internet and switch colors around, etc, to make it my own, sort of. I have gotten a lot of ideas for my Christmas cards from cards in the gallery. Is it okay to upload a picture of a card that you have made from seeing someone else's design, as long as you don't do an exact copy and you credit the original source? Or should you only post your own original designs? Is it okay to post a design made off of something from a Stampin Up! Catalog or a magazine, as long as you say where you got the inspiration? I wanted to ask first, I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

And where do you all get your inspiration, anyway??

You sound like me!!! I don't think I have a creative bone in my body. If it weren't for galleries, I'd be up a creek. I think as long as you give credit (if you remember) to the person whose idea you saw, you're fine. Even if you DON'T remember whose idea it was, just admit that it isn't yours and thank the unknown creator. HTH.

It's absolutely acceptable! Sometimes you'll hear that referred to as a case. CASE means Copy And Share Everything.

Congrats on starting your gallery!
