Smile Fundraiser ideas requested

HI all,
Just a week or so ago I posted about being a new US demo. I just was asked to do a fundraiser for a dance team. This is a great opportunity for me to meet people and hopefully gain a few customers as right now I have none. This event will be before Christmas. If you have any ideas on what can be done as a fundraiser, I'd appreciate it. I'm not sure if my participants will be the tween girls or their moms.

Thanks,
mob

What about doing a "card buffet" where people come and make 3 cards each. You supply all of the product and charge accordingly. For a fundraiser maybe you could charge a little more - say $10 for the class? This way you could protentially get some customers if they like making the cards and are surprised at how nice they turn out for the "first time". Just a thought.

I found an old post on the web. This person offered make n' takes at 2 cards for $5 ($2 returned to charity) and 5 cards for $10 ($3 returned to charity) with 10% of sales also going to the fundraiser.

What do you think of that idea?

Fill a basket or two with your handmade cards with envelopes (could be a basket with just Christmas/Season's Greetings cards and/or a second basket filled with various occasions such as sympathy, birthday, wedding, baby, Anniversary, congrats, retirement, get well, thinking of you) and raffle it/them off. Probably 12 to 24 cards and envelopes per basket.
