The little brown truck delivered my cases of catalogs today. Exciting and fun.

Oh my gosh! I had looked through the catty on line, but it doesn't really compare to the actual hard copy. I could spend hours looking through it and dreaming about cool projects. True confession - I stayed up way too late last night doing exactly that!

I have started to make my wish list. It is already OVER $400. There are so many things that I want! I would love to get all of the cartridges for the new punch system for sure!

I have a couple of stamp sets that there are now dies to go with them, so those will for sure be on my first order. I can't get over how many die set options there are. And, the prices are unheard of! I'm in awe about all the goodies.

I can't get over that there are tiny die sets at the $50 freebie option

I had my new catalog open house yesterday! People were so excited about getting the free gift with every $50 they spent that you guys have been talking about already! Their favorite new tool was the Punch System!

I have a question - something just dawned on me when I was looking through the catalog again. I don't see any markers or other coloring media that match the inks unless I am just missing it. There are so many images that look like they will be fun to color, so i am wondering what everyone is using? The waterbrushes with the inks?

Unfortunately, no markers. The ink refills with the brushes work really well. Or, you can squeeze a little ink onto the lid of the ink pad and use something else like a regular paint brush. Of course, copics are always an option, too. And, yes, there are MANY great stamps that could be colored any way you like.

I'm sure some of the other Journey Coaches have some great ideas, too. Thanks for your great question!

They actually introduced an amazing product, called Fusion Blender. It is a solution that you would put in an aquabrush (instead of water). Your Fusion Ink pad refills are the ink. You squeeze some reinker onto an acrylic block, or similar surface. You then use the Aquabrush to pick up the color, and color your image. It is fun to add a little Journey Silk(metallics) too. It looks must beautiful!

I'd like some info on shipping. Is there a link to the shipping rates? I found this on the site, but no actual numbers.

Quote:
Fun Stampers Journey uses two primary carriers for order shipping: UPS Ground and USPS. Upon submitting an order, if standard shipping it selected, Fun Stampers Journey will use the most efficient shipper for your order size and destination. USPS will be used for PO boxes. Note that regardless of shipper used, you will receive a tracking number. Expedited shipping, available for Next Day and 2nd Day, is available through UPS for an additional charge.
Thank you.

Hi Joan. Great question. Richard announced at convention that he has not found a marker that meets his standards... he does not want to invest in anything too soon to find out they don't hold up to our standards & his. He also recognizes that we all have invested in coloring tools already. We do have a Blender Solution that you can use along w/our reinkers and brushes that will become available in July to purchase. I bought the solution and brushes at convention and its kind of fun to paint/color. The card I sent you was done with the reinkers and solution.

Shipping is 10% or $6.95, whichever is greater

Christine,
Have you posted any cards in the SCS Gallery where you use the blending solution with re-inkers?

I have already spent $200 in NEW products, so I have tons to play with already, but would love to see the effect

Thanks in advance

Has anyone tried the cardstock? I love that they have so many colors in 12x12. How is the weight compared to SU or Bazzill/American Crafts?

The cardstock is 80#, which I believe is what SU is too. It is great that all of their solids come in both sizes! Most are smooth, however, a few are still textured. They are working through that supply, and after that is gone, all will be smooth.

I definintely agree with you!

I looked at the catalog online and was happy with it, but when I got my hard copy, I was really impressed!

My wish list is much bigger now, and I won't have any problems making my quarterly minimums! :

Thanks for that information - I think that is a good approach for him to take. I haven't received your card yet, but will watch for it (we sometimes forget to pick up the mail every day....lol!) And I will have to put that blender solution on my wish list too

My initial want list was closer to $500 than $400! And now I need to add the blender solution. I might get promoted on my orders alone!

I understand completely Joan.

I am ordering in stages. I work and have the weekends to craft...can't play with it all at the same time.
And its a good way to budget my spending

Default Hostess Benefit Shipping

As some of you may know, our new website was charging a separate shipping charge on the hostess items... well, there is good news.

Effective June 24, the hostess award order will no longer incur a separate shipping charge, with some exceptions. Items that are either oversized or especially heavy will continue to be charged the standard shipping rate, based off the full retail price. These items include:

Journey Grand Die Cutting Machine, the punch cartridges, the large steel rule dies (House, Matchbox & Milk Carton), and when it launches, the Journey Platinum machine.

If you have additional questions please reach out to the Journey Crew or a coach near you.

Sorry my comment below was supposed to say (esp for those who can't open the annual catalog right now due to the size of the file).

So now that your new goodies are starting to arrive, what do you love the most? I'm anxiously awaiting my second order and would love your thoughts on what should be on my third order! Okay, Jen, deep breaths, must pace yourself...

I don't think any of us really know much about it. I know I haven't really haven't paid that much attention to what's going on with the company.

Hi Nancy. I keep up with all of it, kind of addicted and a groupie. I feel they do a great job motivating and inspiring others on their blogs, FB pages etc daily.

I personally have fun watching Richard Garay's traveling schedule. He is here, there and everywhere. I worked at the Minneapolis Scrapbook Expo and the buzz was crazy. Ladies stood in line to take the FREE make and takes.. and loved playing with some of the products. I love that they offer Mix Media. I am looking forward to learning how to incorporate it into my crafty time.
