Default FREE To A Good Home: Eyelet/Brad Guides

11:00P.M. Eastern Time

Closed For This Bunch

I HAVE MY 20. Let me get these done and I will post for more names.

I made what I think was some cute eyelet/brad guides out of plastic canvas.

This is the canvas used for cross stitch and has holes all lined up all over it.

They are all cut the size of a standard card.

These work great for me since I do not have one of the SU guides and I really needed a guide.

I have about 20 of these left.

If anyone wants one please send me a pm with your name and address and I will send you one.

I will take the first 20 people then if I have anymore plastic I will make more and will go from there.

Smile Thank you

Thanks Granny, Got mine today in the mail. Now I'll be brave enough to attach FOUR eyelets on the corners of a tag or card. I've always done them singly, even off-centered, because I just knew I wouldn't get them on straight by eye-balling it.

Granny,
Did you use the needlepoint plastic canvas, or the counted cross stitch waste canvas? (This would be much smaller holes.) I have both items in my craft bin. Glad to have a use for it that doesn't take as long as a new cross stich project!
Thanks.

Don't need to have a photo.
TO MAKE: Take a piece of plastic canvas (appoximately 5 holes per inch). Cut it to exactly the size of a standard card.
TO USE: Lay the plastic piece on your card. Choosing holes that are equally spaced in from the edges of your card, mark with a pencil through the holes. You now have the spots to attach brads or eyelets perfectly aligned.

uhm I have tons of plastic canvas here- (although patterns for it have kind of dried up- can't find them anywhere!)I have ten count and seven count but don't have any more five count- any ideas where I can purchase that? Is that all we do is cut it the size of card front and lay it on to decide where the brads and eyelets should go? Or is there more to it?
Please share!!

* I was estimating on the count number. It should not matter a whole bunch, as long as you can poke a pencil through the holes to mark on the paper.
* GrannyHawkins did not send instructions, so I am assuming that is all there is to it.
