Hey girls! Paula and I will be arriving sometime Friday too... We'll look you up by the pool. Thank goodness I'm on vacation this week playing Grandma to my 22 month old. I've got all my stuff done! (although, come to think about it, I'm not sure if playing Grandma to Gracie is really relaxing... pretty fun though
See you Friday!

That would be great! Everyone likes treats to eat

Nothing like waiting till the last minute to stamp 175 two-toned pumpkins then had to do 35 3-toned plaid backgrounds for my swap cards. (using the carved and candlelit set) I hope I will still be able to stamp on saturday....My poor fingers.

Do the stamp sets that we are using have to be current? My friend is
borrowing one of my sets and of course that is the set that I need the wording for.

[quote: Do the stamp sets that we are using have to be current?]

I don't think so because not everyone who comes to this gathering is a demonstrator. I'm not and personally, I LOVE seeing ideas for discontinued sets because I LOVE my discontinued sets and I USE them often!

I am even using one stamp that's not SU! (gasp! But, I made it optional by using it only on the "inside" of my card!)

Oh, and I'm soooo excited. I got my shoebox swap put together yesterday and then last night I didn't go to my excercise class so I could put together some swap cards. I did it - I got everything done. Now, if we could only find that missing swimsuit. Three little girls and only two swimsuits. THAT will be a problem!!

Kar -
Can you borrow the supplies that you need from your consultant? I know some consultants have tons of everything on hand for their own personal use. Then, she could just pull it from your order to replenish.

kar,

Use the 1/16th punch or use a needle to pierce a hole. That should work.

Default Card Lottery

I believe Kookie or Schrades said it just had to be a card to put in the lottery and the winner takes all. Some people are making a stamping project though. I don't think the winner is going to mind anything! LOL!

Wooohoo. Two more days!

Are we required to bring envelopes with our shoebox. I know that usually there are no envelopes for the exchange. Also, we are required to bring our favorite adhesive and not supply it in the shoebox, is that correct. What about dimensionals - I'm going to guess that if the card requires dimensionals that they should be supplied.
Also, I have a stamped item for the auction but was there mention of an additional card for something.
Sorry for all the questions but now that it is getting down to the wire my mind seems to go in circles and I'm not sure if these things were covered anywhere.
I'm flying in on Saturday morning - for those of you flying out on Sunday is anyone leaving in the morning that maybe we could share the transportation?
Look forward to meeting all of you - see you soon.

Stefanie: No to envelopes. Yes, to dimensionals if your card needs that. The adhesive you bring should be the adhesive that you keep in your hands.

The auction type thing you are talking about will work fine for the lottery. It sounds like people are throwing in more than just cards. Maybe we can beg to have a few winners then! Wooohooo!

I think that's it. Now I hope I gave you correct information. LOL!

See you this weekend!

Lana may not be around much lately but she sure pays attention! hehe Waving at ya!
No envelopes for shoebox swap, bring your favorite adhesive for you to use, supply everything needed to make your card. I am using eyelets in my shoebox swap so I put the eyelets in little bags and will have the setter, hammer ect. along with.
The item for lottery can be anything stamped(card, gift bag, whatever) and winner takes all! We may do two winners depending on how much stuff we get, but you have to bring something for the lottery in order to have a chance to win.
I have all my things in order for Sat. Ya a huge relief! but now I have to get my things in order for my workshop tomorrow night
Can't wait to see everyone Sat.

whoooo Lana is back on!!! I got EVERYTHING done for Saturday, gonna stop at Michael's (never know what I might find) and Kohl's (need couple baby gifts) on the way the will be there hoping by noon. Have to see what time I leave here. DD has to meet the bus for her Volleyball game by 8AM and then see what the boys are up to.
For the lottery I did a stamped item I got tired of cards. Keri knows what I did for EVERYTHING, and Debbi knows my shoebox swap!! I needed some opinions on my stuff.. I am my own worst critic!! and my DH is NO help!

Wow Lana you are well organized there. I still need to go out and get my supply of chocolate, but everything else is in the SU bag I just got.. Have an awesome box (not a shoebox) that I have my shoebox swap in. I can't wait!! 2 days is soooooooooooo long.. lol

I have a question for everyone - my daughter is also coming on Sat. She is 8. I did her shoebox swap but she would like to make a tag for the swap. It is her own idea (she really comes up with some cool ones, esp.
for scrapbooking!). But it is not a card. Does this upset any of you because otherwise we will still try to do a card. I will be helping perfect it with her but she will actually be doing it. Her very first swap!!!!

Let me know soon because we are running out of time (which is ok seeing as we will be with all of you) Can't wait to meet you all!!!

Not sure what swap you would be doing the tag for...? But in all fairness, both swaps are to be full cards.
I am sure the tag is very cute, maybe you could do one to add to the lottery...

What about cleaning our stamps? I suppose we should include a stampin scrub or whatever in with the shoebox.

For the swap - do you make all of the same card or do you do all different
ones? This is the first time I am going to something like this and I thought you make 30 of the same cards.

All the same card will just make it a bit easier for you. However, if you want to make a couple of cards that is fine too. Your choice, just enjoy what your doing !

Everyone should bring their own supplies to clean their stamps.
It is my experience that they get cleaned when everyone is done by the owner of the stamps.
