Fellowes Spinner Cassette Holders
I tried to order the fellowes cassette holder today, but was not able to as 'I AM CANADIAN'...thankfully I have a wonderful American friend who did the deed for me. I've read somewhere how wonderful they are and of course just had to have one. When it comes to stamping where there's a will there's a way...that is if you have a wonderful American friend who is also a stamper and understands the NEED!
The woman on the phone also told me that they only have 30 something left and are now discontinued so if you're thinking of ordering I thought I would pass this along.

NavyWyf, yes, they will hold the new style SU pads, so hurry and get yours! For the money, you can't beat it!

I have to say I ordered this a couple of weeks ago and was really disappointed. All the stamp sets fall out. It was cheap. So cheap it isn't worth returning. I'd spend more on postage than I'd get in return. If you know someone who has it try it our before you buy it.

So, do we have two people on this thread who have them? One who likes them, one who doesn't? I would like to order, but if they fall out at the drop of a hat, it wouldn't be worth it to me. I would love to hear both the positive and negative!

Grace, that's strange that you couldn't order because "I AM CANADIAN" as there is a distributor in Ontario that has lots!!!! I'm getting my darling MIL to pick one up for me and send it out west!!

Well that is strange as I called the Canadian 1-800 number that the Fellowes lady in the US gave me and they told me they didn't sell directly to the public. So how did you do it?

Julia,
Did you put your pads in with the color names facing left? Apparently that is the way to get them to stay put. Also, are you using hte new or old pads?
Can't wait to get mine

I got mine today!! I love it! It doesn't spin well but holds the pads great. Mine fell out, too, until I faced them left as MrsDiffey states.
LOVE IT!!!!

Julia I know that you have to stick I think the back of your stamp pad in to the right side first...Beate has this and has loved it and used it for years but said there is a certain way to load the ink pads in to make sure they do not slip. You might just PM her and ask her which way to do it! Hope you have better luck after this...

It shows on the left side where it has the name as far as I can tell I don't have mine yet but if you look in Beates gallery you will see it pictured there I think...

I have one and I really like it. You just have to turn the ink pads so that you can see about half of the name, but I have also printed out labels and placed them on the cassette holder so they go back in the same spot every time. Makes it that much easier to find them.

I am using the new pads. I had them straight out. I didn't have them turned. I'll have to try it again. Thanks for the tip.

Its only 5.99! but 7.79 in shipping. So is it worth paying the shipping cost?

Well I bought SU's and paid $59.99 plus 10% shipping, plus 6% tax...I'll be using it for my old style pads...so I think 5.99 plus 7.99 shipping is a good deal. I also had to buy a carousel for the SU one as it wouldn't spin with the pads in it (9.99 US)

If you look at the size of the thing, the shipping actually is pretty reasonable, IMHO. Also, I am sure when you get it, you will think it was way worth it.

Only 7.79 in shipping sounds pretty good--when I ordered mine last week it was 9.95 (maybe you are closer to the shipping point).
If you try changing the quantity after you go to checkout, you will find at what point the shipping charge goes up (when I did it, I could order as many as 6 for one shipping charge), and then if you know of anyone else who would like one you can split the charge.
Is it just a rumor, or are these close to selling out as well as being discontinued? After all these orders, maybe Fellowes will continue making them.

I talked to a woman at Fellowes yesterday and she said they only had 30 something left and were discontinued because cassette's weren't popular anymore. Although a Canadian stamper replied to me and said some supplier in Canada (Eastern) has lots.

Stamp Holder
Keri,
I ordered mine Monday, and it was waiting when I came back for the store today. I live in NC so you should have yours pronto! By the way, I was not disappointed. I stacked mine every other slot though. That way I can give a little push from the back to take it out.
I like it. They kind of snap in. I think its great. I bought one for my upline and I guess I am glad I did. Great price.
I also found if I put my Wheels on Wood Kabob sticks and store them in the shallow plastic drawers of my storage units they are great to access and are easy to see for using.
Hope you like your cassette holder like I like mine.
Shirley

Check this thread out. It was started by a Fellowes rep.
I got mine, hated it, then tried turning the pads the other way and now i love it. Enough of the name sticks out so that you can still tell what color it is.

I just got mine. Having played with it, I plan on loading the pads in every other slot--I think it will be easier to get them in and out, and also, I can see the color on the top of each pad. Enough of the name shows on the left that I don't see the need to write the name on the exposed side. I'll use one cassette spinner for Classic, one for Craft.
I thought I saw on some of these threads that people had found a way to use them for Encore and Versamark, etc., and even ribbon! I don't see how, but with all the pads neatly stored in the cassette spinners, there will be alot more room for the other things in my crafting area.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this storage tip.

Well, I ordered mine Saturday the 20th. It's Saturday the 27th now. I haven't received a shipping confirmation email, and I haven't received the package yet. I hope it comes soon! I can't believe someone got hers in 2 days! All the luck...

I ordered mine on the 18th or 19th and got mine on the 22nd. I thought that was great. But considering the fact that they have had a huge amount of SCSers ordering them they are backed up right now. Plus the holidays. I hope you get yours soon. I now love mine, now that I know to put the color name facing left.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine. I put one color family per side which helps me find the colors faster and can see enough of the name so I don't have any problems. I can't imagine a better storage system for a better value! You ladies who are waiting will love yours! (And if you have frustrations with it, keep playing it really is great!)

Canadians!
Did a search for the spinner and found a Canadian site where it is 7.99 (Canadian dollars). But not available in US. Hope that helps someone. Can't figure the link thing out, but you can cut and paste into your address bar.

Thanks, I'll check with my American friend and if she was unable to get me one then I'll order from Canada. I'm a little surprised because I did call Fellowes Canada and they told me they didn't sell to the public...guess it's a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Anyway thanks again.
