Favorite Color Combos?
I'd like to spend some time making a handful of one-sheet-wonders...I can always come up with stamps/sets to use, but I am so terrible at coming up with color combinations. What are some of your favorite 3-4 color combinations? THANK YOU!!!

Okay, can someone pretty please with sugar on top show me an example(s) of an OSW? I keep hearing about them, but I don't get what you mean by what it is! Thanks!

OSW cards are when you stamp a sheet of paper either 8 1/2" x 11" or you can do 12" x 12" paper. You stamp your paper with whatever colors you would like using any stamps you wish. Some people use templates that they follow in cutting their paper. I just start cutting up my paper and I go from there when making my cards. Here is a link to the latest OSW cards that I made. The first link is of my cards and the second link is to my stamped paper.

My fav color combo for the moment is soft sky, kraft and very vanilla or whisper white.
I have made few sheets of cut of cardstock of the color combos I like and often I go to it. It can be found on my blog

Color Combos
I am personally in love with soft sky, basic gray and white. Actually, I am loving the basic gray with just about any pink too. If you haven't already, check out Scraptitude. I love it because you can either do a random search, or you can put in one color that you know you want to use, and it will come up with LOTS of combos to use.

I love using Chocolate Chip. I think it goes with alot of other colors. It make cards, in my opinion, more elegant. I tend to use C. Chip with the pinks - blush blossom, pretty in pink, regal rose. It also goes well with V. Vanilla, Kraft, sahara sand.

Great thread:
olive, real red and saffron
sage, amethyst and choc. chip
saffron, olive and amethyst
pixie pink, bashful blue and choc. chip
cool carrib. and orchid and black (or try lavender lace and turquoise with black)
pretty pink, celery and black
soft sky, real red and true thyme
Kristina Werner's blog has some great color combos that you might never think would be great (orchid, pumpkin and rose red)

Hi,
Really liked this thread so I thought I'd compile a list of everyone's favorite color combo's. Took me a while so instead of anyone else spending their time doing the same thing I thought I'd post what I'd typed up. Enjoy!

First, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to answer my question! I've gotten such great ideas from you guys. Also, thank you, BoxerMax, so much for doing this. This was my question in the first place and I didn't even think about putting all the answers in one place. What a great idea. I'm going to print it out and put it in my scraproom for easy access. One thing I did do was to cut out all the colored rectangle samples in the front of my last catalog so now I can play with the rectangles together and see exactly what the colors look like together without having to pull my stamps out right away every time. It's been really nice to have those on hand. It will be interesting to see what new favorite color combos we come up with after the new in-colors come out.

Love these combos....... since I have little SU paper I just grab what I like together. One of my all time favorite combos since I was in HS (eons ago!) is med. lavender, olive and turquoise. When I see that combo, I still love it.
