Embossing Question

I feel stupid asking this question, but I haven't stamped in a bit. Here goes:

If I stamp for instance, a leaf in green ink, how do clear emboss the image?

I would stamp using pigment ink (like colorbox) which stays wet enough to then use clear embossing powder on.
Or, stamp in Versamark, and use green embossing powder.
You can have all kinds of fun heat embossing- I like to rub versamark over pieces I've used embossing folders on, and then sprinkle different kinds of embossing powders on & heat.

You can also stamp in Versamark first, then green dye ink, and then clear emboss over the top. So fun!

Doing it the other way round is fun too! Stamp your image with Versamark, sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat. Once it's cool, sponge dye ink over the top - the embossing will resist the ink and your image will show up white againt the coloured ink. If your cardstock is a colour other than white then obviously it will be that colour that shows through the clear embossing.
