Default DSP Hoarding

Does anyone have an easy template for cutting up their Designer Series Papers so that cards can be made in a short time and also uses up those extra DSP 12x12 papers?

The technique is usually called one sheet wonder, often abbreviated OSW. An older term is quicktime stamping.

If you use one sheet wonder as a search term, you are sure to get many "hits." Don't worry if the threads are old, templates never die.

Some of my favorite OSWs are by cookiestamper. She has a section on her blog (Paper Cookies) which the link below will take you to:

OSW (one sheet wonders) |

And fellow SCSer, vikkijo, started a thread and there's s template for 14 cards! You can see her thread here:

And jessrowe also started a thread:

Have fun!

Check out Kylie Bertucci's YouTube video on card templates. She sells the card templates already cut, but her blog includes measurements so you can cut them yourself. You also might want to check out her Facebook group, Kylie's Love It Chop It Workshop, that is devoted to helping us DSP hoarders actually use our beautiful paper.

One of these days it's going to finally sink in that, without fail, every year, SU always comes out with at least a few new gorgeous DSP packages that I will love. So, it will be just fine if I cut into all those beautiful, full sheets that currently fill up a huge amount of space in my craft room. It's okay to love them, and USE them. Let them go, there will be new loves coming to replace them. It's been over twelve years, and I still can't quite do that. I consider it a victory when I have only one "back up" package of whatever the pattern is. All this to say, I wish you luck on using up your DSP hoard.

Default 12x12 paper

Hello
I too have a lot of 12x12 paper and have found it to be the perfect size for making my own envelopes for cards. The paper with one side design is good for a white envelope with a pretty liner already built in. Double sided is great also so it matches in and out.

As I was reading your post I was thinking of some DSP I have that has a great outside envelope look but the inside would be hard on the eyes so... I decided that a white [or any light color patterned or not] envelope liner would be a nice touch.
Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Yup...I'll raise my hand to that! I finally did some thinning in that department. A friend who also loves crafting with paper is now the owner of a few stacks. Now that I've narrowed my collection down to be waaaay more manageable, I'm feeling my mojo starting to 'jo' again!
Thanks for the post
