Default Does your significant other take your stamp stuff?

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. My SO takes my scissors (because they work so well) to use with his decals for his car. He also uses my snail adhesive, but he buys me stuff all the time so I dont complain. Just wondered if any of you have this problem lol. I can't be the only one!

My hubby uses my Sharpies all the time. It's not really my stamping stuff, but I use them on Dominos etc, so I guess they are. He'll grab scissors and adhesive once in a while, but not too often...and I don't work other then my SU, so ... I can't complain, since he foots the bill

Mine is too intimidated by the sheer scope of it all that he just stays clear. However, he loves my cards so much that he sends them to his clients. And he never says a word about how many Michael's bags come in from my car, or how many times the UPS guy rings our doorbell with another box!

My husband uses my stuff constantly. He draws, and I've been trying really hard to get him to freehand some designs on a card for me. So I've been "understanding" and quietly helpful when he goes looking through my Prismacolor markers or my paints. I'm hoping if I let him play with my toys, he'll reward me with a nice drawing to color and mount on a card.

Just the stapler and sometimes the monoadhesive. He usually tries to avoid that room in the house.

Everytime he comes in my room he trips on something, knocks something over and ends up having to pick up little tiny pieces....brads, eyelets, beads, etc, etc...He stays clear for the most part.....sometimes he wants to use by exacto knife...

He wouldn't dare... just being "in" my art room boggles his mind.... I think he would be afraid to open any of the cupboards!

Nope, but he knows I wouldn't mind if he did. I've got so much stuff that I wouldn't miss it if he did. Besides, having him using any of it gives me a good reason to go shopping

My DH won't touch anything in there, but DD is another story...I'll occasionally have to go looking for my paper cutter, metal ruler, scissors or adhesive, and there have been times I've gone to my desk to find it covered in scraps. I really don't mind sharing w/ her, though, because this is something we've enjoyed doing together for many years.

Both my daughters have to be warned to stay out of my "stuff." They still use it for school projects or whatever, but they know that taking the red sticky tape means a meltdown from Mom. And the whole family knows Do Not Touch Mom's Scissors.

He only uses my stuff because he knows where to find it. He mis-places EVERYTHING. He's always asking me where he last put his stuff... heck if I know! He needs a better memory... or maybe he needs a proper place for everything like I do for MY stuff. very frustrating.

Lol. The toaster.

Here is a card (I hope I attached it) DH made for me after he snuck in my crafting room. It was for mother's day and he proudly used some paper, a wheelie, stickers and markers....it was surrounded by flowers from his garden....i am in loveeeee!

OMG that is so sweet!

My DH has never used my SU stuff, but I have my own toolbox with tools, and I can't keep him out of that. Then I track him down and get my tools back- so next time it's the only tools that he knows where they are. I suspect if he knew what tools were in my paper room, he'd be borrowing them too- I keep silent!

At first I was going to say my significant other wouldn't even know what to do with my "stamp stuff", but after reading this, YES! my scissors are always missing! I almost had a heart attack when he was cutting carpet and reached for my stampin' up rubber scissors!!!!! (He almost lost a hand!)

My husband used my brayer for a project at work and it is now permanently black, he bent the point of my paper piercing tool (he's still paying for that one ) and my kids take my mono-adhesive all the time for school projects---which is really the way to go to get their stuff adhered neatly. Scissors also seem to disappear frquently.

My DH.....NEVER!! My DS......ALWAYS!!! It drives me crazy...he's 15 and VERY creative....just can't seem to put ANYTHING back where he found it!
I hate tracking down My stuff. I even bought him his own set of SU markers because I was tired of having to search his room for mine. He used the crop--o-dile to make the cutest eyelet embelished dog collar for our dog!! I really don't mind sharing if things just were put back where they belong. KWIM??

My DH has been known to dull the blade on my paper cutter by trying to cut chipboard with it! So I actually gave that paper cutter to him and I use the good one. lol

My DH teaches the teenage boys at Church and often has little quotes he prints off the computer that need to be cut. So my trimmer is always missing. I should say *was* though...I finally broke down and got myself a new one and now my old trimmer resides in his office. Other than that, he pretty much knows to ask me where something is if he needs it...usually just adhesive. He just knows it's faster to ask me tham to go on a search by himself.

My BF made me a card for vday with my stuff (in my gallery) and for Xmas he made me a calendar using my computer scrapbook program.. he printed it out on cardstock, used my paper trimmer, my eyelet setter, brads and ribbon to put it together. He uses my paper trimmer all the time to crop photos. He also uses my sizzx with my TAG die to make gift tags for Xmas.. and HE LOVE the little hammer in my tool kit.. for LITTLE things around the house that the big hammer is to bulky for. oh and adhesive.. he loves the RED LINE tape for various things.. he even used my mod podge to fix something in his tool shed.. he once made me a card form the cats for my bday.. he used my black stamp pad and stamped their little paws on a card.. poor cats.. so yes he uses my stuff to do things for me mostly..

Mine doesn't touch anything w/o asking first. I didn't even have to tell him. I suspect he quite simply likes his hands to remain attached to his arms.

My DH?
Definitely "no". He has his workshop tools, and we seem to have a rather unspoken 'agreement' regarding each other's "tools".

This is so funny as I had a Hedgehog for 7 years and she was firghtened of the recommended meal worms. kitten chow and canned salad shrimp for her. Can't say I blamed her and I truly didn't push the issue.

Back to the origional post my DH likes my cutterbee sissors for his model decals and uses crystal effects like superglue. He wraps gifts with my ATG gun (takes great pride that no tape shows and he believes it confuses people). He has broken two paper piercers and stolen two one for his models and one for the first aid kit. He does not trespass into my stamps though.

My dh always asks first, but does use several things. Some SU Naturals White CS, the large grey and orange Fiskars rotary paper cutter, the Creative Memories corner rounder, glue dots and my heat gun. He's a woodcrafterr and turns wooden pens on his lathe and when they're finished he puts some information on CS in the case for them. Really looks professional when it's all put together. Happy to share with him.
