Anybody ever heard of such a thing?

By the way, it's about $2 US for each Brittish pound. The stamp I was looking at was 5 pounds and the shipping was 6 pounds.
Yep, I told you it was a little spendy but I figure I might as well get one that I like and will use consistently. It also has my e-mail so I'm easily accessible to people.

Anyway, I'm loving hearing what you all have to say about this!

I had two stamps made with my name on them, they say handmade by peta, one has hearts and the other has a butterfly. There are lots of companies that make them. I'm in Australia, so the company I used would be no good for you, however you could do a google search for handmade stamps/personalised stamps

I made my own "logo" of my initials and with a fine Sharpie I write Risalenee Creations and my blog address. One day, if I ever sell or find a place to sell my cards they can get to me with out having my real email address.

I sign my cards. I have several stamps I use from various sources. Sometimes I just use a small stamp from the set I am working with and use that on the back as an accent with my name next to it. My favorite stamp for the backs of cards, and the one that gets the most laughs is the one that says, "If you had any idea how long it took me to make this card you would never throw it away."

It is an old Santa Rosa inc. stamp from 1999. C 11-1434 is the number on the side.

I had a stamp made at my local office supply place that basically says:
Handcrafted and created especially for you by Elyssa Tanenbaum.

If I have to satisfy any Angel Company requests I'll doodle that underneath!

I sign some of my cards - the ones that are personal, going to family and friends. I ordered a personalized acrylic stamp off ebay and it's still going strong, 500 uses later! I have the regular "handmade by" one from SU as well, but my personalized one saves me from writing it out. It's one stamp - done!
Having said that, I have participated in many swaps and I'd say about 4 out of 5 cards I get back are not signed. I wish they were! I love to see who made what and give credit in the gallery, but I guess the norm is to not sign cards in swaps. Very few have (at least in all the batches I've gotten back)

I use mini address labels which I run through my printer. I use a bar code font to spell out "Designs by Linda." Looks really professional.

I have a template on the computer and run the "card" part through the printer first... then cut it up, score and put the card front or what ever on it. I like this cause I can make it small enough, include all my personal information and I can give credit to whomever the art belongs to. I have one for Stampin' Up! (C) and Stamping Bella (C) and so on.
I believe that the angel policy is just to give credit where credit is due and you don't claim the artwork as your own.

Default vellum sheets

I buy vellum sheets and use avery label templates to write out my information. Then I cut to size, adhere with vellum adhesive to the back of the card.

Creative Designs by Stephanie
email address
and other pertinent information according to who the cards are for.

I usually don't use stamps on cards I sell.

This is why I love PTI stampsets, they almost always come with a coordinating "stamped by" stamp ( :

stampin.com has great service, great prices ($10-$14), a great (best I've seen , 23 made by's) selection and really fast (a week to a week and half from order date) receive date for this type of stamp. I've bought about 6 personlized stamps from them and have always been very happy. Even a simple cursive Love, With your name stamp has come in really handy.

Thumbs up

I got a personized stamp made from www.finestationery.com
They have many different designs and you can customize it any way you like. The cost is $40 but watch for a sale and get it for less like I did. They come pre-inked and each ink cartridge allows approximately 10,000 to 14,000 impressions. You can also buy replacement ink cartridges in some really pretty colors. They are so easy to use too! I love mine!
Mine says:
From the studio of
(name)
Lovingly Hand Made

They also have embossers.

If I am giving a card that I made I put my first name and the year on the back. I have a couple of cute "handmade" type stamps but will use any small stamp that goes. If I am exchanging cards I leave the back blank, they can do what they want. If I am using a card I received in an exchange I never sign it, I didn't make it after all.

I never remember to put any kind of signature. I always figure that the people I send cards to will know I made it. Lazy I guess...

What a perfect sentiment: "I made this just for you". It's honest and has more meaning to non-crafters than "handmade". Even if it is used on assemblyline Holiday cards, it still works because you went to the trouble of making the card and including each recipient. Lovely thought.

I love the Cuttle bug idea. Creat your own stamp! Nice!

I always stamp and sign my cards. If it's for sale, I use an Angel Policy stamp for sure. I date the card with the year only and am careful to only use dots for the year - 8 dots for 2008. I make up some cards ahead of time and would feel awkward about using a card that was not dated in the right year at least! I know, I could save the dating part until I was ready to give the card away but in this hurry, hurry world I just might forget.

Having said that, I'm sure most people wouldn't care when it was made. They're just happy to get a hand made card at all! Arrggg ... the crazy things we card people do, eh?

I got a very cool custom stamp from a seller on Etsy.com. Details (and a pic of the stamp) are in this post on my blog:

So, If you get a card from the store does it have Hallmark, American Greetings, shoebox etc on the back or is it blank? I sell alot of my cards. I sign everyone of my cards-most with my personalized stamp-has my name, email address and phone number on it. (Just in case the recipient Then I also initial and month/year date it. If I am giving a card that I made only one or two of I use the SU angel policy stamp and put 1 of 2 or 1 of 1--these usually go to friends and family so they already know my email and phone number. Be proud of what you make and let everyone know you made it!

I have a SU stamp with my name on it and use that for SU artwork going to relatives, friends and the like. Ihave a Paper Angel dog/Woof stamp also with my name on it I use for non SU cards. For selling or my DH business cards (real estate) I use a small tasteful "stamped for you" stamp and just initial.

I use a clear sticker I have printed with my details, but when my friend gives me a card it is a stamp 'Handcrafted with love by' and then she signs her name, and I always think that is much nicer and a nice personal touch.

I've been told that you should always put a copyright sign and your name and year if it is your own design, but I never remember to!

Can you please tell me what the names of the set(s) they come from are? I can find the name of the current set (Art by Design) but am having a hard time finding the name(s) of the retired set(s) that can be used.

How can I search for it on B/S/T or ebay if I don't know the name?

Thanks!
