To be honest with you, I have it and demoed it at maybe two parties and haven't lifted it up since. Not even sure where I put it!! :o) I get bored easily and there's only so much you can do with it. Just my opinion!! :o) Happy stamping!
I have this but have only used it a few times. I do like it and just had to have it but it seems to be a bit messy. I haven't experimented with it enough that I like the results I get, but I do like some of the samples I have seen. I totally love plaid so I think once I try it I will really like it.
I LOVE IT
And all my customers who have seen it want one too. They've asked me to bring it out to my stamps "retirement party" in a couple of weeks so that they can do a project with it.
I have it along with the foam brayer and I LOVE IT! I have used it a few times and I just love the results! I plan on using it a LOT more! I am thinking about getting the larger size as well.

I noticed that some of you say you love the plaidmaker but hate the mess. Others just say you love the plaidmaker. Does that mean that some of you don't have problems with a mess? What exactly is messy about it anyway?
Just curious,

I LOVE both my plaid makers. They are a bit messy...extra ink on the plastic, but it washes off easily with just plain water. Use them in shifts...sometimes for every card and sometimes not much at all.

I would get one if it had slots for 8.5 x 11 paper. But to me, it's a pain to have to make sure you don't let the paper move while you are using it. So I have yet to invest in it. I really like the look of it, if you use a foam brayer and your ink pad is nice and juicy.

The plaidmaker is a plastic template - actually a set of two - that has slots to hold 12 x 12 paper, and Stampin' Up! sells it. It has lines on it, spaced so that when you use it, you make a plaid print. You would place the paper one way, brayer (or sponge or whatever), then turn it 180 degrees, and brayer again. You can make some gorgeous plaids with it, and with the foam brayer the colors are so wonderfully soft.
I don't know if you did a search on the gallery if it might come up? As an accessory used, perhaps.
Hope that helps!

Oh yeah, there are TWO sets of plaidmakers in the SU! catalog, one is small, one is large, that just means you get thinner or thicker lines.
Each set actually has one template with thick lines and one with thin lines, but these are both thicker with the "large" plaidmaker, and thinner with the "small" one.
