I have a sister going thru a real stinky divorce right now. She goes to court next week and I want to sent her a paint can with some goodies. Any ideas from you creative ones?
How about a gun.....a "squirt" gun? (it might make her laugh) A remote control for the TV set, since she now gets to use it? Bubble bath? Champagne?
You should throw him a going away party **but not invite him***. After my ex fiancee and I broke up, I threw him a going away party. Actually, his brother found out about it and wanted to come to it. HA
When one door closes, another one opens......give her hugs from me, I know how hard it is. Tell her to be good to herself because she deserves to be happy.
I just went through this a month ago, and just reading these replies is GREAT! I was thinking a voodoo doll might be good for a laugh, but all of these ideas would have put a smile on my face!

Everyone, send a message to your best girlfriends & sisters today and tell them how much we love and need them.
How about a book? There's one called "Untying the knot" [by Bodie] and it's a compilation of quotes and paragraphs of the humourous side of divorce.
Also, search online (via Yahoo! or some other engine) for +divorce +humor and you'll find tons of stuff - you could type them up on little cards (like business cards) and drop them in the can. When she's feeling especially down, she could pull one out for a quick laugh.
You guys are great!! Thanks for all your fun ideas. I can't wait to get this can put together and in the mail. I live in TN and my sister lives in UT, and haven't seen each other in over a year. Boy, will she be surprised!
