Default Disappearing Ink?

I read on a SCS thread that embossing ink, when you attempt to use it like Versamark, (as a watermark), it will disappear when it dries and will no longer show. Is that true of the TopBoss tinted embossing ink in the SU catty? I want to put visible lines on black cardstock for journalling, and then I want my lines to disappear. Also, will that ink smear as I try to write on those lines?

According to a rerun of Scrapbooking on DIY, Shelli says that the top boss will disappear so you can use it for journalling lines that will later be gone.
