Default Did'ya order from the new 2011-12 SU! catty...what'dya get?

I'm really liking the new SU! catty. My favorite thing in the whole book is the ruffled ribbon. It's even prettier IRL. I'm always curious as to what people actually buy. I often look through a new catalog and don't end up buying what I first think I will purchase. I'm one of those gals at the workshop going around asking, "What did you buy?" Maybe I'm just nosy, but I think it's interesting what people will actually lay down money for...where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. So, did YOU buy anything...if so, what?

Now, some folks buy a huge list of things, but I thought it would be interesting to list maybe our top 5 things we chose. So here's mine:

1. Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (love, love, love it!)

2. Pool Party Cardstock (couldn't resist this color...heaven knows I don't need it!)

3. Pool Party Ink (got the paper, had to get the ink, too...right?)

4. Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Designer Frames (there's so many beautiful card samples made with these...like the oval on the catty cover under the butterfly...love it!)

5. Furry Folk (now usually my style, but they're just adorable!)

So, anyone else want to share your top 5?

Lorien, your gallery is adorable. Have you gotten your order in yet? I can't wait to see what you make with the new stuff. Be sure to share it. I got my order on Monday & here's the first card I've made: Lisa's Furry Folk Friend

What it is it about those Furry Folk!? I'm not sure I can resist them.

I haven't purchased yet, but I'm making a little list.
Merry & Type will be on it - love that!
And so will Sunflower.
I also like Established Elegance and Nature's Pace.

They're doing a great job adding vintage stuff.

I'm resisting the patterned paper -- it has never been a real weakness of mine, and I know I have enough, but it's tempting this time around!

Oh, the denim ribbon is on my list, too!

Love your card, Leisa!

Thanks, that Sunflower is on my wish list, too! Merry & Type also jumped out at me from the catty. Someone just uploaded a really pretty card made with it.

I went to my first of club meetings last night and it was so hard to decide what to order first! I ended up ordering Field Flowers and Kindness Matters and Naturals Ivory card stock. I totally love pages 120 and 121 of the new catalog.

I did join a ribbon share last week in order to get the new ruffled and scallop dots ribbon.

That's my first five.

Kathy, I think I've commented before in another thread about how much I love Zoo Review...the art work is amazing. I love the polar bear and giraffe especailly, but that penguin is totally cute, too! I think you could make many all purpose cards with those images. They look like they'd be fun to color, too. That set is absolutely on my wish list. Can't wait to see what you do with it...be sure to share.

My mom is getting Fabulous Florets, too. She didn't hardly notice it in the mini, but the new catty has such great samples that she just fell in love with it. Plus someone used it at a workshop and then she just had to have it...isn't that always the way?!

My order came on Monday, but I haven't touched the stuff yet. I've just been looking at it over and over again. Maybe soon.

Love your card!

I'm with ya! Field Flowers is on my list...don't you love the card samples made with it? (My fave is at the bottom of pg 97.)

I want Kindness Matters, too. The small butterflies are so beautiful and realistic...plus there are two GORGEOUS card sample made with it on pg. 121.

I am definitely casing the Field Flowers samples!

I actually ordered both sets as clear mount, but emailed my demo late with a change. I decided to order Kindness Matters as wood mounted so I could see those beautiful butterflies on my stamp room shelf!

I haven't ordered but I was completely bowled over by the catalog! The samples are gorgeous, the colors beautiful, and the stamps are amazing. I was a demo about 5 years ago but had to quit. I hadn't looked at SU since I quit. I was very impressed!

Demo says the stuff will be here on Monday! I will definately put some in my gallery when I use them. I agree totally about Zoo Review. I think my favorite is the giraffe, but like you said, they are all adorable and I know I will use them all. I didn't notice Fabulous Florets until demo used one with embossing powder.

I didn't order any stamp sets... but with the 100+ I already have, it is hard to come up with something that isn't similar to what I already own! I did however order lots of supplies - all the new in colors ink and some paper, some of the ruffled ribbon, glimmer brads etc.

I think I'm going to order the in colors since they have the Card Stock/Classic Ink Pad Color Kit. It's like getting the paper for free if you buy it that way. And I think I might order the marker set too.

I got the new In Color inks, reinkers, papers, and a mountain of DVD cases. The only stamp I purchased was Hello, Doily.

I LOVE the new SU Catty! Even though my crafting budget is so tight, I am going to try to place one order and get the following:
1. Hello, Doily--LOVE this!
2. Merry Winter--so very cute and available in clear mount
3. Field Flowers- an awesome realistic set also available in clear mount
4. Medallion--so many fabulous cards I've seen with this set
5.Baker's twine---cute, you get a lot and it's cheap
6. Rich Razzleberry CS/ink/ribbon---LOVE this color!!!
7. Peach Parfait CS/ink--such a pretty mellow CS and only available through June 2012
8. Top Note die---just love it and can't resist any longer

Ok...gotta stop now....

I think the Merry Winter set is adorable. I think you'd be able to make quick and super cute cards with it.

The only reason I'm not getting Peach Parfait this time around is because I stocked up on it when it came out...love that color. I was crazy for Pear Pizzazz, too and I think Blushing Bride is the best pink they've ever had.

Good choices!

You're going to LOVE that Pool Party ruffled ribbon. I just got mine on Monday and it's the first time I wondered with a new roll of ribbon, "Is 10 yards enough?" LOL I wish that ruffled ribbon came in every color...of course, I would be even more broke if it did.

Gosh, thanks, and it's great to know that Peach Parfait is an awesome color as I've only seen it on the computer and in the catty. Sometimes, what looks great doesn't turn out to be quite what you thought.

Yes, that Merry Winter set is adorable and I love that I can save some $ and get it in clear mount.

I have a list of things I want I order as I get the $$$$

My first order was the doily stamps and the layered flower punch. That punch looks so cool, can't wait to get it and play with it!

Also on my list are a couple more stamp sets: In the Wilderness is a great one for masculine cards. Circus of Circles (I think tha'ts what it's called) looked like it offered so many possible uses I just had to get it.

And my favorite, which I might splurge and get for my birthday, is the Occasions Alphabet. What a neat idea!

Now if I could only win the lottery, I could buy all of them and have time to play with them because I wouldn't have to work any more, LOL!

There is a lot that I like in the new catalog. This morning, I ordered the in color card stock/ink/markers and Furry Folk and Language of Friendship. I use the bird punch a lot, so am looking forward to that Language of Friendship set. The Furry Folk just make me laugh, so I had to have that right away!

Oh wow Sharlene! Your list is amazing!! I've went through the catty twice, have tweaked my list, and then will finish up my first order. I prioritized my stamps that I want the first go-around, and then which ones I want when I order after the mini catalog comes out. I'll need to pace myself (and my $)!!

I just picked up my order today. I got Pool Party and Calypso Coral CS. Love both of them!! Calypso Coral is a perfect Coral not a peachy coral
And I bought the "Young Vermilion" single bird stamp. He is beautiful!
