Default Determining Prices for Sales/Trades

I have about 10 sets that I would like to sell/trade. All are retired sets. How do you go about setting a price on these? Do you use the original price, a discounted price (if so how much?) or just take offers? This is my first time selling or trading any sets (SOB, SOB - it's so hard to part with my dear friends, but I am running out of space!).

Thanks for the help!

I usually don't know how much the set sold for originally if it is earlier than last year when I signed up, so I just take offers and/or make a wish list. If I want it, I will trade for it simply because someone has something that I want. HTH

I read somewhere - possibly Stampin' Discuss - that 30% off catty price is "acceptable" but you do have to check the auction sites in case you have one of those sets that go for insane amounts of money! It shocks me what some sets sell for but there's that little voice in my head that says just think about all the new stuff I could get! So far though I haven't had a big money set - or it's current like some past hostess sets so I'm still not able to buy the whole catty
