It was laser to help weld a horseshoe tear on my retina! Plus PVD in both eyes. Posterior vitreous detachment. The gel sacks in the back have detached, but nothing to be done for that. One detached on new years eve, and the other July 6. I could tell because of floaters and lights. I feel like I'm looking through frosted glass after dilation. And it seems to take forever to clear up!

I hope the surgery is a success, that you recover quicker than fast and your dilation undilates right now!

And those of us prepping challenges are getting last minute details in place. You are in for a treat. I’ve had so much fun making samples. Some techniques new to me, some old favorites and great themes. Are you curious, waiting impatiently? Be prepared for a good time!

Kathy, I hope your eye has recovered so you can play. My eyes stay dilated forever too!

Thanks Kathy! I didn't ask my question very well, but you did answer it. I am so excited for tomorrow, but I am on grandma duty all weekend. Jammies @Grammy's until Monday. I'll be scrambling as usual.

Maybe you can get the kids involved in making too so you can all craft together and you can sneak in some DTGD challenges? I don’t know how old they are so it might not work but it just might!

Me! It’s 5:11 on this side of the pond and Thaddeus Courageous Heart Catteus Burns aka Thad aka Thaddy aka Little Guy Noir aka Batboy just ate his breakfast.

I still need to unpack the tote from an envelope class at my LSS. First time decoupaged - hope there’s a way to work that in to DTGD. And why is there enough stuff packed for a 3-4 hour class as for a weekend trip, though no extra clothes, unless an apron counts?

Hello, the UK is awake! It’s almost lunchtime here. I’m sure there’s fun to be had with the first day of DTGD challenges when they go live!

Hi ladies....morning and afternoon LOL. Joanne I've had a FaceTime with my sister in the UK earlier today....doesn't seem that long ago but it must have been as she was still having her morning coffee.

I've been in my play room finding more stencils in boxes and sorting those and decided to gesso 2 panels for mixed media challenges. I then thought why don't I do the mixed media challenge from Friday whilst I'm waiting....out comes my Ranger Texture paste crackle....it's as hard as rock and not moving in its bottle. So I get out a new jar I purchased a few months ago that's been sitting in my cupboard...Matisse Light Modelling Paste....that's just like chewing gum and not fit for use....finally I think I have a small jar of Distress Grit-Paste.....nope that's as hard as rock. Not happy Jan.

Has anyone had this problem before and how long are these products supposed to last? The Matisse one was brand new, never opened. It says made in Oz so surely they make it for our weather conditions LOL. I think I may have to ask Dr Google and see if I can retrieve them somehow. Hubby says I told you your hobby was expensive and that stuff will go off in your "crap....oops he meant craft" room LOL.

Texture paste going hard in the jar seems to come up quite often as a topic. That said, I pulled out some Maimeri Iridescent medium the other day that I must have had for eight years or more I reckon and that was perfect. That’s packaged in a tube rather than a tub so maybe that helps and it’s kind of like a thick acrylic paint texture rather than a ticker paste. Still, I was pretty impressed with it. I’d have thought the one you’d never opened really should have been OK, maybe have a word with the retailer or even the manufacturer?

well, I have tossed many jars of partially used embossing pastes and that prompted me to only buying the clear. ( its easy to add color to the project before you smear the paste) and or sprinkle on clear glitter on top when its wet after.

It was also suggested to me that you keep the jar inside a sealed plastic baggie too for an extra layer of air tight. ( I have not checked mine again, I should probably do that)

and I do that to my snowtex too ( the jar is inside a zip locked baggie)
