Default Criss-Cross Cards

I made 60 criss-cross cards as my Christmas cards this year. Here I am now trying to address and stuff the envelopes, but the card does not easily fit into the standards 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 envelopes. They are just tearing the envelopes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes. I made a dozen holiday party invites with a criss-cross design, thinking I could just use a regular envelope. Nope, had to make envelopes for each.
