Thanks for sharing that! I like that she broke it down to four areas - makes total sense. I didn't agree with everything, but that's okay - still got the wheels turning...

I like the Ikea wall storage rails and containers, but I don't have the wall space for them... i like the glue on sponge in container tip...

Her point about project containers is well taken. After not remembering what I was using for what project, or scattering pieces around, I now use vinyl/mesh zipper bags from Studio Calico (that kits came in) or The Container Store. While they're called mesh, there aren't any holes.

Konmari Craft Room Purge - that's quite a project--know it was spread out over a couple days, but wonder how many hours total it took to go thru everything she started with ....8?10?12???

Great videos! Thank you all for sharing them, I will definitely will be viewing them, I go back and fourth in terms on organizing my craft room but nothing sticks. I signed up to to do the #100dayproject and as much as I want to just sit down and create, my craft room is just a mess, so I'm going to focus on organizing my room instead. Great tips again.

I've seen two of those videos before and liked them back then, but it was really good seeing them again. I'm in need of some work in my craft room.

For the first time I have a dedicated craft room and it took almost three years to get it all set up and organized to suit me. It is much easier to keep track of stuff now and get projects done, which I guess is the whole point of having a craft room. I have a small book shelf of stuff to use up ASAP such as chipboard and journaling tags. Nothing on that shelf will be making the next move so I have to use it or lose it.

Everything in my house got the Konmari purge, except my craft room. I do that continuously; as I run across something that I no longer use or no longer like, it gets put in a box. When the box gets full, I have a sale.

Regardless of how well I organize, there have always been way too many obscure or neglected items I just couldn't remember the location for. Also, I have a craft room in a second home with a totally different organization layout.

After I was satisfied with where things have been placed I made a double column alphabetized Word document which identifies craft items and their specific locations. Changes get written in with a red pen, and the list is updated once a year or so. (Locations are often Ikea names of the furniture.)

These are just a few items from the list:
Button shank cutter----- Desk Left Drawer 5
Clip art, Asian----- Closet Right Side
Confetti----- Mid-size cubbies
Crackle Accents----- Left Alex and Above
Cushioning sheets----- Raskog Lower
Glycerin----- Mid-size cubbies
Goo Gone----- Left Alex and above
Mulberry paper----- Kallax 1
Paper Glide----- Left Alex and above
Snow----- Mid-size cubbies
Wobble springs----- Malm and above

This really helps me out when it comes to finding stray items.
