Default Crafter's Night at Air Force Base in Korea

Have you ever hosted a card-making function? For our military chapel community here in Korea (Catholic + Protestant), I have decided to host a Christian Crafting evening. The idea is for people to bring projects they are working on, or just to come & make some handcrafted cards, the example and materials for which I will provide.

I figured I'd design one fairly simple card which could be done two ways (one definitely masculine, in case any guys show up), and one VERY simple card. I'll precut the cards, and do some other prep, but leave enough undone for the crafter to enjoy the chance to make it their own. We have a lot of people who are here in Korea for a year without their families, so I hope this evening helps build up their ties to the parish family, but also helps them strengthen ties to their own families back in the U.S.

Do you have any suggestions on making it run smoothly?

Pax et bonum,

Carol in Korea

Bless you Carol!...just wondered what base you are on or near in S Korea...my son will be doing his 3rd "stint" over there starting in Feb. If you are going to be there next year and it is nearby where he will be, I may have him stop in and say hi!...he is not a paper crafter but ties flies...will have to ask him if he is taking anything like that over there to help pass time....stay safe....judy

Default p

I'm looking forward to the crafting night, and meanwhile have started a swap:

This swap is easy!! Just make 4 X 6 POSTcards that can be mailed without an envelope--nothing bulky or detachable which might catch on postal machines, etc. Make them patriotic for our deployed folk, simple hellos, abstract with no sentiment, or whatever you like!

Pax et bonum,

Carol
