Cute Emily! What kind of price range are these blocks in? (wondering if they would be an affordable option for craft shows...)

These are amazing!!!
Where else can we get them????...sadly I'm too far north for a HL... (I joke with my DM that I come to Oklahoma to go to HL and while I'm there I visit her too!).

Anybody spotted them at a Mikes or AC Moore???

The ones I saw at Micheal's sold invidually - unless I completely missed them. But, I saw that Oriental Trading Company sells them now. I think these are the same ones here.

well - they come 6 for $2.99. The paper is really minimal. The rest is mod podge and stuff. The sanding is very time consuming, but easy - I did it while watching tv. I sold mine for $3 per block (so a 3 letter word would be $9). Not sure if that is good or not though, lol! I did sell some to other people who didn't attend the open house. They seemed fine with the pricing.

That is a great price for the blocks...I'm going to have to check and see if Michael's or Joann's up here has any. The ones I've seen have been more than that. Thanks!

Alana--I just did one set of "FAMILY" blocks for a craft show I had Saturday. I used TAC's "Amelia" paper and 2" blocks. Instead of sanding, I painted the outer edges of the paper in a green that coordinated with the paper and cut the paper 1/8" smaller than the block. I ran a gray marker around the edges of the paper so it didn't look so white after I cut it. Instead of stamping directly ON the paper (it's dark), I stamped on more Amelia paper and paper-pieced using TAC's Alpha Grunge set. I have to say it really turned out beautiful! I had more people comment on those and several said they wanted to scope out the fair and would probably be back for the blocks. Then they were sad when they were gone!

I had only done one because I just wasn't sure how they'd do! I've got more shows coming up... Haven't even gotten the pix off my camera card yet...

Oh, and I sold "FAMILY" for $13.75--we're midwest and in a very "tight" community. I bought the blocks at a local craft shop for 99 cents each.

Emily--I love all the ones you have in the gallery!!!!

I saw those types of block in the Oriental Trading catalog that came yesterday.

I thought it would be cool to make one for my SIL who just "Loves" Snowmen.

And one for my MIL who "Loves" Angels.

You get 9 wooden blocks for $9.95 per Unit.

Right now they have FREE Shipping!!!

I got some of those blocks on clearance a long time ago (over a year I think) for another project. I never got to the project. Now I'm glad. This one is waay more fun and cuter too!

Thanks for sharing your artwork! I'm sooo inspired to get them out and make something pretty now

How about cork coasters? HobLob in my area has packs of 4" square or round at 6/$2.77 - use a coupon & they are even less. Then just stamp on them, seal with acrylic sealer, maybe add some felt to the back (should be able to get 6 backs out of a sheet of felt - about 30 cents/sheet). Most people can use coasters - if you stamp snowflakes or snowmen, they will not be put away after Christmas.

I saw some in the gallery under "Anything but a card" and think they were done by "genescrapper" or "genescraper" - guess I should check the gallery again to get the right name

I thought the clear christmas ornament posted on here this week were really, really cute. You could do one or a matching set. I thought this was super pretty.
