Default Conditioning Sculpey??

Okies everyone, I know there are tricks to conditioning sculpey and the ultimate is using a pasta machine... but looking for what folks actually use. And if you do use the pasta machine, please share what kind and explane of how you actually use it...

Thanks so much!!

I have the cheapie pasta machine sold at Michaels... its adequate.. not perfect tho... I usually condition the clay at first in my hands... soften and roll into a ball and then flatten. Then I run it through the pasta machine a bunch of times. You can use an acrylic roller... I've seen people set up two rulers spaced about 4 inches apart (tape e'm down) on a slick surface.. then place the flattened clay between it and roll just like dough.

HTH!

Your hands are the best conditioner, just sit and play with it while you are watching TV. You can use your roller to flatten when its soft enough.

If I'm using a whole chunk, I tuck the block in my pocket to warm it up...then just roll it around with my hands. I've comandeered my daughter's play-doh rolling pin to roll it out (shush...she thinks she'll get it back at some point...)
